I always go to Memory Express www.memoryexpress.com
OR
www.oemdepot.com
Memory Express really impressed me with their knowledgeable staff, tell them you dont have a clue about something and they will find the "guy" that knows everything about it. I had to get a new PSU and the guy they found for me to talk to was honestly incredible. Highly Reccomend. |

If your on the south side, mem express, if on the north side, Sata(127th and 82nd, just behind the McDonalds - I've spent close to $5000-$6000 at mem express in the past 12 months and close to $30,000 at Sata in the past 12 months, so thats gotta say something.
BCOM has become a farce, I was in the west side one recently and the sales guy had no clue, literally, he didn't know the diff between sapphire, true ATI, or radeon(He though Radeon was a brand) Also no clue on CPU sockets/speeds.
OEM Depot - me and a buncha friends walked in ther once during Frag, and the manager/sales guy was on the phone, completely ignored us, and we over heard him openly pirating Windows XP. |

It depends on what you want to buy, some times a store like london drugs can have a good sale on with rebate, and if its something you know you want get it from there.
Also sean does work there =)
Memoryexpress though is the place to go if your building a computer or you dont know anything about computers, they will take care of you.
Though if you know what you want, go where the price is cheapest. |

Compusmart has good prices on some stuff. What pissed me off with them was I was a corperate client and "they changed policies" and I started paying darn near retail, which defeated the purpose of being a corperate client, same with Bcom, you pay more for your stuff, but you get priority over retail clients. |

i dunno, i really like compusmart... well, after i got a geforce 7600 GT for $69.99 because of a misprint. :D
they DO have deals sometimes, and the staff are underpaid so they dont mind "helping" you get better prices.
all in all, memoryexpress is vastly superior. |

Again, Memory Express is the best place in town.
Compusmart is good for laptops, they are one of the few places that actually have a laptop service shop in town. They replaced my LCD on my laptop under smartplan (extended warrenty) in a week. And they have good sales. I picked up a $120 Logitec keyboard for $40 after x-mas and just bought a 50 pack of single layer DVR-R's for $15.
And if your looking for a mail order place, check or NCIX.com from Vancouver. They have good prices, especially when they have a 'no shipping fee' sale. But check out the local stores first, often times they will have prices that are close enough to make the hassle of shipping not worth the few bucks in savings.
NCIX also has a great setup that lets you pay them with at your online bank rather than a credit card if your nervous about that stuff. |

+1 for NCIX. If you want local, MemExpress as has been said. |

| ncix good service and fast! mem express, acomputers, sata these two places are top notch the techs are extremely helpful |

^ wow, someone recommand my a-computers downtown store?
too bad i am the tech there, not a sales.
but no worries, I know at least what is BBA, PBA, and what's new on Intel Core 2 Quad, or the Protype 60 cores CPU.
but too bad we only sell mainstream. no enthusic stuff.
so if u drop by downtown, too lazy to go south or north, we are there.
and I hope this does not count as advertise, coz really, I am the tech, more ppl buy stuff means more work for me:p
btw, Dell has some really good deals last month, check it out. |
