Aftermarket Sard bov on Skyline gtst - Click HERE for Original Thread

180sxforthewin
The r2d2 fianlly came and we put it on my freinds gtst yesterday. I had heard that there were problems with some after market bov where the car will stall if it is rolling in neutral. Is there any way of preventing this from happening.

Sard r2d2 ftw:thumbup:

you have to retune the ECU probably. either that or place the maf sensor behind the BOV

jberger
i put on an hks ssqv and had no problems at all. i dont see y there would be a problem

jasonturbo
only BOV's that leak vaccumm at idle cause the stumbling idle and stalling, usually only a problem running a maf or afm, cars usiing speed density or a map sensor to read air volume in the intake manifold will not have this problem.

BAM!

who does this jberger guy think he is....

josh you suck.

if your bov is sequential you should not have this problem no matter what. on cars with a maf or afm setup the right way to make it work is to run a return off the bov dump to the intake pipe.

There was a problem with the vaccum line before and we kept having to cut it shorter and shorter. We still need to replace it.
