94 yukon with a 5.7L (350) engine, couple questions. - Click HERE for Original Thread

Ok, in 95 the interiors changed to a newer style, and someone told me the wiring changed aswell. So the question is will the engine fit my 94 yukon, as a direct swap, if it is out of a 95-99 yukon/suburban/tahoe etc? Both being 350 engines, and the same body style, but interior changing.

I think if it's a 95 you will be okay, but 96 & up, they went to the vortec engines, so that would probably require a lot of modifications.

Didn't OBDII become standard in '95?

Well, dammit, my 95 Talon had OBDII. :p

I was just asking since it would make a good difference in the wiring.

The motors from 88-95 were all the same TBI style. 96-present are vortec motors and will not interchange unless you get all the wiring for them as well as the computers...etc...etc..
