..not sure if this is the rite place or not to post...but, i bought /installed a 4'' muffler yeserday, and its wayyy to loud..........so i called about 20 places..jb's , ect.....no one has one, .and the resignator route, seems pointless, , and more $$
so...leads to my question,,ne one know where i can find a silencer, or a cheap place to weld my old muffler back on??
thanks..... |

| You should probably find out what brand of muffler you have (Ractive or whatever it is  ) and look up on their website a part number or find something on ebay that will fit. |

| usually any silencer of the same size will work...but if you need a cheap shop take it to economy muffler on fort... they do awsome work too and they have lots of positive feedback in our forums here. |

Try asking for a resonator not a silencer.
Or if you don't want to loose any performance gains, drop a small borla muffler on somewhere in the middle, it'll shut it up alot, but since it's straight through, no performance loss.
*edit - sorry just re-read your post - So you have a fart cannon and want the inverted funnel to cork it up with... yeah, would need the brand/model of muffler you got.
Econo muffler on Ft road just south/westish of 66st, across fromt he 7-11, I think they're $60+tax to chop a section of pipe and weld in either another pipe/muffler/resonator(if you supply the muffler or resonator) |

Or a turbo is shuts up the exhaust noise just fine.
Or how about a stock exhaust, they always seem to be really quiet |

BAHAHAHA. Top end on an integra with a 4 inch exhuast??
Thats called making the deaf hear again.
But honestly, what do you gain from a 4 inch exhaust. Lets say 3 WHP if your lucky. Driving in the shade (cooler air) will make more of a difference |

I think he means a 4" TIP.. Not 4" Exhaust.. Even you Nissan guys arn't foolish enough to put a 4" FULL Ehxaust on your cars...
And BTW.. You guy's arn't strangers to a 5" tip.. let alone a 4" tip... |

My last was a 90mm (3.5 inch)version, for the HKS super dragger, with a 110mm tip (too big)
this is my new one, Probably with an external gate dumped to the atmosphere

See for us nissan guys a bigger exhaust actualy helps. On a honda a 4 inch TIP does nothing except for ALOT of noise |
