Compustar Turbotimer. - Click HERE for Original Thread

STiPWR
Its not working on my car... The e-brake wire is good, and the command start works..

I tried the III and IV at the same time for .5 second or whatever and Im not getting the Turbo LED on my remote.

Does this need to be set up on the brain?

gab
yes it has to be turned on in the programming. if you swing by the shop i can turn it on for you. aero car parts. ask for big jason. it will not take any time at all.

STiPWR
thanks man, but you're WAY on the southside...:(

2k3Civic
Aaron, you have to turn the option on. It should be in your manual. You have to turn the option on, and then activate the feature. If you don't have the manual, stop by and I'll lend you one.

Altezza
Hey Aaron put it in reservation mode first then turn on the turbo timer. And yeah i tried giving you a call on the # that you called me from on monday and someone else picked it up

STiPWR
the number was some random persons house on 137th heh.

Not to threadjack, but this is the first compustar ive had -- how do you get it in reservation mode? I'd like to know how to enable it on mine for use next season. ;)

Altezza
when you go park your car you put it in neutral, press the brake, then pull e-brake up, then let go of brake and take key out. The car will stay running till you open then close your door. Oh and make sure you dont have the clutch in as well.

Cool thanks. Does it matter what the automatic/5spd jumper is set at on the brain? My car was originally an AT, but now it's a 5spd and I don't think anything was changed as far as the alarm and remote starter goes (I didn't touch anything -- not sure whether or not the guy helping me did).

gab
if it was in an automatic before the jumper loop is cut and has to be soldered back together. so as it sits right now if you leave it in gear and hit the button..................well............ we all have a pretty good idea about what would happen. so unless you are david hasselhoff, and your car happens to be K.I.T.T. i suggest fixing it before we all have a good laugh at your expense!! (provided you don't accidentally hit a small child or the easter bunny.)

talonstylz
soldering that wire inside the brain voids compustars warrenty...

and you need the e-brake wire hooked up no matter if its auto or 5-speed for it to be able to even use the turbo timer mode. Since you have an auto or used to, i doubt it was hooked up during the original install.

talonstylz
hold button 1 and 2 for 2 seconds you'll hear it go into programing mode, then hit button 4 7 times, you'll hear a chirp after every time you press it, then hit button 2 to turn on turbo timer mode, if it chirps a few times its se if you hear and alrm siren for a sec then you need to hook up the programer to do it, after that hit the 3 and 4 i believe to turn it on.

all the manuals can be found HERE

I already know that. I just haven't gotten around to doing it yet, hence why I never leave the car parked in gear. ;)

Theres no warranty left on mine anyways. It's a couple years old now so I have no problem soldering it.

I checked today and the one for the ebrake isnt hooked up. So I'll do that when I get a chance.
Thanks guys.
