What's the difference between the different fuel injector cleaners? They seem to be priced from $1.50 for the Superstore brand to $49.95 or so for the Zmax brand. What do you use? What works?
Removing the valves and ultrasonically cleaning them is not an option. |

| i use the STP stuff... but I only use injector cleaner if i cant find fuel system cleaners. Cuz freakign teh selection for fuel system cleaners here sucks... Cdn tire use to carry the cheveron stuff.. then they stopped, so i used the valvoline stuff... now they stopped carryhing that too. Nothing left but prestone and Cdn tire brand for fuel system cleaners... |

| if you can, stay away from these type of cleaners. they dont do any good. the cleaner is way to diluted in the tank to do any good. if you want a realy good cleaning you need to run the cleaner right to the injuctors. this is the best and only way to do it. this process uses compresed air and a cleaner that your car will run on. cheers |

i heard it works really good:
take all of your injectors out and dip them in fuel injector cleaning fluid for a while. And then use a nine volt battery to activate the injectors one by one (make sure to only have it on for just half a second and to leave the bottom end submerged under the fluid while doing this). |

| I think the only Fuel system cleaner worth using is the redline stuff, it all but stopped my hyundai from ticking, cleaned it right out. |
