500W Powered Bandpass L.A.T. Subwoofer System
• Speaker Level Balanced Input
• Input Selector Switch
• Dual Chamber Enclosure

Was looking at a lighter, smaller system, but keeping sound quality and I stumbled on this...
6 7inch subs inside.. making the equivelant of 2 12's. Pretty crazy stuff.

I guess its old hat since it was released in jan 06, but i've been gone so looks pretty interesting...

Price is right too...1019.00 with an internal mono amp...

looks pretty awesome. if i was looking for a small sub/amp all in one system that would be it.

Altezza
Alpines starting to make lots of their stuff compact. Like their stackable amps.

Soulfly
That's pretty decked out.. Built in amp!!

If you like the sound.. Snag it up!:p

Yeah the amps are a bit steep i would wait for them to get a little older and they will go down in price. But that sound system you are looking at is pretty cool will save in space. Not that you dont have to worry about that yet. Buy her a cat next time haha keep her occupied other wise in goes the baby stroller. :D

We sell those LAT boxes at work and they are nice and compact, plus nearly indesctructable if you still have to carry cargo and stuff around, however they do fall short of 2 12 inch drivers in terms of tonal quality if you ask me. They do hit, but if they run into demanding bass transients, they leave a bit to be desired.
All that said, if you have limited space, these LAT boxes are miles above a stock stereo. If for spatial or practical purposes you can't find a way to work out traditional subs, go for them.

Insomniac
AB sound has the LAT5 for $425
