I have this Logitech Z-550 Control Unit for my speakers/sub that isn't working cuz the wires are broken (see 2nd pic). They broke cuz the cord was stretched on an angle for a while. I cut the insulation to see if I could solder them back together but it wasn't possible. No store will sell the unit separately and I don't want to waste $500 on the entire set up again. Logitech won’t take it back under warranty since it was bought in ’03. I’ve tried ebay and no luck. I’m running out of options and need music so I figured I'd post here...
ANYONE KNOW WHERE I CAN BUY IT SEPARATELY OR BETTER YET, KNOW HOW TO FIX IT??? OR KNOW OF SOMETHING SIMILAR THAT'S COMPATIBLE?
Any help would be appreciated, I can toss someone a case of beer or something if they can get it working again.

| that should be fixable, I won't have time to do it till after the 7th of november as I am going out of town for a week. Maybe one of the other technically inclined individuals can hook you up faster |

Brandon, PM me and lets see if we can meet up somewhere.
The silver braided cover wire is some sort of RF sheild I beleive.
It doesn't appear to be fixable but I could try.
