DoubleDown
My car is 100% useless in this weather. It's been washed and parked for a couple weeks now.

LOLZ to the condom Audi sig!!! Love that!

Mike

seevik
just got new winter tires but my cars handling on snow is sooooo bad they are pretty pointless, drifting is good tho

chrenan
My 924 is asleep for the winter. I am stuck driving the Cavalier. I shouldn't even be posting here.

DoubleDown
My biggest problem is traction (summer tires). My second biggest problem is that my front lip is 1.5" from the ground, so I'm basically a snow plow :P

Insomniac
My car is very good with snow tires but the low front *discontinued* bumper makes me cringe every time I drive over one of those ice-turds that falls of peoples mud flaps.

I'm a nervous wreck.

SilverZ24
My car is good in the winter (stock ride height and good tires) but some how I shredded the cord for the block heater and it was just dragging along the ground. I had the car at Edmonton BMW yesterday for an oil change and told them to replace it (even though I have never used it and never intend to). $150 later I thought I should have just cut the cord and left it. lol

haha. tell me about it.

about a year ago, i went to Edmonton BMW for few check ups.
i had to change my fog light bulb, so I bought PIAA bulbs and brought it there to.
i was kinda lazy to change it myself, so while i was there I asked them to replace it for me since i bought and brought the bulbs too.

ok.
i was expecting to pay about $20~30 for the labour of bulb replacement. which my bad for being lazy.

guess how much they charge.
$95!!! when i saw the bill, i was like OMFG!!! they fuckin' charged $95 for front fog light bulb change!!! and labour ONLY.
  :banghead:

i learned a lesson hard way. since then i'm just doing everything myself for the stuff i can. :tear:

Insomniac
I learnt that lesson after the $144 oil change.

fugumerkur
Awd drift is so much fun, Wolfdio cruises in his Awd Mazda and scares the crap out of me when he slides it, I am so used to the way RWD handles in a slide!

I am happy I got some winter boots on my merkur only problem is the snow has been so soft that when I go to slide I just remove the snow from the asphalt!

COME ON SNOW!

euro_fcuk
OOOOOO dont worry its comming, and itll come real hard :p

AWD FTW!!!!!!!!!

Edmonton BMW is only charging $108 plus gst for E46 oil change. lol

But considering that is approx every 20k and most other cars would have had 4 $30-35 oil changes in that time it really isn't that bad.

yes.
and highly recommand to get membership with BMW club.
it will give 15% off parts and 10% off labour.
for $50 annual membership it's not bad at all. :D

Do you really think it is worth it? I thought about it, but to save the 50 bucks (I actually thought it was 60) on stuff you need to spend about 500 bucks at sponsors. I can't see my self spending that much yearly at the places you actually get discounts from. :dunno:

I know there is the events, but I check the events every once and a while and I haven't seen anything interesting listed on the site (currently there is an X5 viewing which you can do for free anytime you want, and a meeting).

mostly, get discounts from dealer services.
i think i spent more than $500 dollar at dealer this year for parts and labour.
oil change twice, differential, tranny fluid change, hid/drl retrofit LCM, obc/alarm retrofit-recoding obc, bought some parts(ie. rubber mats, etc)
i think i spent well over $500. :p

SilverZ24
Yeah, when mine is off warranty I can see myself spending that much a year, but for now I sure hope I don't have to spend that much in a year.
