| does it require any soldering? also my ps2's laser and motor for the drive is dead.. will this solve both problems? |

As far as I know its as simple as switching the 3 ribbon cables and screwing the 4 corners down and you're good to go. There may be one solder point that has to be desoldered, but I don't think it has to be done unless you're only changing lasers and not the whole drive.
This is the full motor and laser assembly so yes it should solve both problems. |

Im only available nights (after ~6:30) and on weekends now with my new job.
I'd rather not have to go far out of my way to deliver because it's not an expensive piece. The money would just be going straight back into to my gas tank which is completely pointless for me. |

There's a place called Tea Place across the street. It's actually my friend that's working there and he can do the exchange. That's the best I can do for getting close to St. Albert.
