Un-fucking-real. This movie blew my mind. Probably the best Bond movie ever.
Go see it!

| Agreed, this new guy is the best Bond yet IMO. He makes that Pierce whats his name look like a pansy. |

I know what you mean. After watching Daniel Craig I have a hard time taking Brosnan seriously anymore.

Unreal.
That was the best Bond, bar none and probably one of the best movies I've seen in years.
It was so, so intense.

| It was a little long, but it was good. I certainly didn't expect Craig to do such a decent job. That DBS was a tease though. Aston Martin's have been my dream car as long as I can remember, and chances are like the rest of the population, I'll never be able to afford one. :-( I shoulda been an actor. |

| I havent seen it yet but I heard its real good. But no one makes a better bond then Sean connery |

| After watching Enduring love With Daniel Craig, I don't know how accepting I can be with him as Bond. (Oh yeah, had to watch enduring Love for school, don't think I'm the kinda guy to go outta my way to watch it lol) |

In the other Bond movies the character is this rediculously smooth, sophisticated, kick ass, super pimp/spy.... this movie they tried to humanize him a bit, more of an educated thug in a suit with a heart (cuz he got all luvy duvy with that chick and quit MI6)...
....dunno where they're going to go with this since I heard Craig's signed on for another two movies, but personally I don't want to see Bond get all touchy feely and start having emotions. :limpwrist |

I don't think Connery was that smooth, or Timothy Dalton. The other three were though, I agree. Don't forget Bond got married in "On Her Majesty's Secret Service", so this isn't the first time they showed him with feelings. |

Gangsters wore fancy suits too, you saying they were smooth? I still say Connery played a scruffy Bond, like Craig. Personally, I like Bond as a priss. That's why Roger Moore was always my favorite. |

 ....suits...gangsters....wtf? |

We were talking about James Bond being a thug in a suit, I said connery was, you said he was smooth and posted a photo of him looking smooth because of his Armani suit.
You gotta keep up with the convo man. |

....so what's that got to do with gangsters being smooth if they wear fancy suits? :dunno:
...wait a sec, Roger Moore was your favorite Bond... dude, put down the Elmers. :p

Gangsters WEREN'T smooth, despite wearing fancy suits, just like Connery wasn't smooth just because he wore fancy suits.
See how that works? Makes perfect sense.
Roger Moore was the most sophisticated Bond, and that's what I like. Brosnan tried it, but it just didn't work for him, he couldn't pull it off. |
|
|
| Orzel_pl |
| Roger Moore was definetly the smoothest bond to me handsdown. Connery brought the character into the light, but Moore took it to a higher level of being sophisticated but still a badass. As for Daniel Craig, 2 thumbs up, Casino Royale is easily the best bond movie Ive seen made in the 20 years Ive been alive. |

.....just curious, but if I'd said that Craig played a Bond who was an "educated thug in an Aston" would you now be claiming that gangsters weren't smooth despite driving Astons just like Connery wasn't smooth because he drove an Aston? :p |

Am I saying Connery WASN'T smooth because he wore a suit? Not at all. I'm saying he wasn't smooth, and didn't give ANY reason. You're ENTIRE argument when I said he wasn't was to post 1 picture of him wearing a nice suit. That's it.
You see, YOU'RE the one saying Connery IS smooth BECAUSE he wore a nice suit. And if you were to post a picture of Connery in an Aston in response to "he wasn't smooth", I would say lots of unsmooth people drive them too, and therefore that's hardly an argument.
Don't take your rebuttal and turn it around like that was my argument. I never made any claim at all that a suit made someone unsmooth, merely that a suit, in and of itself, doesn't make one smooth.
Get it now? Or do I need to break out the crayola's? |

lol, I get it that you read way too much into a random photo when we all know that things like charisma and shmoohthness (gotta say it right) are completely independent of suits, or cars, or crayons. ;)
mkay, now just for fun try this one:
Sean Connery played a smooth pimpin' Bond.

You're rebuttal choices include:
A - "Gangsters lay on couches too, you sayin' gangsters are smooth?"
B - "Gangsters WEREN'T smooth, despite laying on couches, just like Connery wasn't smooth just because he lay on a couch."

I haven't really watched the old Bond movies. I've seen bits and pieces when they're on TV, but when I think of Connery all I can think of is this.
