I am planning to bring a car from the states in spring but i got a liltle probelm...
I am not sure what is better to get and more practicable.
I narroved it down to 2 cars 91-94 Nissan 300zx TT and 98-99 Eclipse GSX.
What you think is gonna be better to work on, have better resale value and car in general i am planning to drive it during the summer for work and i drive maybe 70-100km a day so which one will get better gas miledge and such. Also will any of them be good on long trips becouse i might go to europe in near future and i wiould like to drive there
Car wont be driven in the winter time so no worry aobut winter habdling and suck i got a truck for that.
PS sorry for some spelling mistakes english is not my first laungadge. |

resale - 300zx
gas mileage GSX
and they both will be good on long trips if they are in good condition but a 300zx is a chick magnet everywhere you go ;) |

GSX.
Or a Talon, since they're a little cheaper up here. |

| Having owned a talon awd I am kind of biased, but I think a GSX would be an awsome car. They are fun and easy to work on, with a decent amount of room under the hood compared to a 300, and you can still make them quite quick, and in fairly easy to get them into the 13's. Also I think the GSX is a wicked looking car stock, a white one lowered with a carbonfiber lip is a hot looking car in my opinion. Just look at phil's (notaturbotalon) |

I have never driven a 300 but to me the 300 has lost alot of its appeal since people have started importing RDH ones and and you can see them everywhere now. I also think the introduction of the 350 has hurt the appeal of the 300 |

Take each for a test drive and pick the one you like best.
Parts can get expensive for both.
If you aren't going to take advantage of the GSX's AWD for the winter then it is a wash there as well.
300ZX is more of a luxury sports car IMO than a GSX and I would probably lean towards the Nissan for LONG road trips.
Mind you I've road tripped from the southern tip of Florida to Edmonton in a 3rd Gen RX7, so it really wouldn't matter to me either way.
Basically, get any potential purchases inspected by a Journeyman mechanic that YOU trust before laying down the cash. CARFAX is a crapshoot, even with US cars. Getting maintenance history with receipts is a bonus. |
