| Where are the good ones? I saw a thread elsewhere and it got me thinking that a good touchless wash with a strong underbody spray would be really good for winter rinsing. |

I would tell you but the one I go to has too long of line-ups already...
wtf, I use the one at the AH Husky and have found it does a pretty decent job. I have to stop there for my 94 anyway. |

| The best car wash in the city is "Squeaky Clean Car Wash" on the southside in Riverbend. I work there.. WE RUN 90 PSI in every pump.. I worked at another car wash where it was 65 and the esso one my bud works at is 65 as well.. Free undercar wash, spot free rinse, alot of good stuff.. lol. When i was working at the terwillegar car wash I still went to this one cause it does a great job. |

touchless washes are over rated, they use the cheapest soap for the biggest profit. how good do you think that is for your car?
My solution, Meguiers Gold Class car wash. Lasts longer, cleans better and in the long run its way cheaper. |

Touchless car washes have a tendancy to strip the wax right off your paint too.
I've thought about it, but concluded my 285/30/ZR18s wouldn't fit through the stupid guide rails.
Take it to a wand wash and blast away. |

Are you serious? I was contemplating trying one out to wash the underside, but I'm running 305/40R22... am I screwed? |

Lasts longer??? In the winter time, your car is going to get dirty fast, no matter what soap you use. And for this reason, I think you're nuts for handwashing your car too.

| There is an old shell on 127th st and like 158th? ave.. It almost lifts your car off the ground with the underspray. I dont go there all the time, but once every couple weeks just to spray the bottom. |

Its $1 for a minute and 27 seconds. Most people spend about 4-5 dollars fro a good car wash! The soap is great (mix it myself) and the undercar wash is really effective. The touchless car wash up the street is 8 dollars foir a soap anbd rinse and 12 for the full package (wehcih still leaves diryt on your car and the wax dries white! |

For a quick wash I use the Husky on 153st and about 70st.. they have 94 too.. but only open til 11pm now.. grrrr
There's a shell on Stoney plain road and about 158st... used to have a good underbody spray.. now it doesn't work.
Most places have a "rocker panel blaster" which gets the front of the wheel wheels, not the back where all the gunk is.. and doesn't do anything for under the car..
Thats what I need, a good under body spray |

| Whitemud then exit on 53rd avenue. Go past riverbend JR High and go left at 4 way. Continue until you see the big car wash. I work there alot of the time (silver civic or white crx) |
|
|
| split |
is that right at the 4way stop?
is this the same car wash that's by brander gardens school, by the happy-mart? |
|
|

so i got pulled over in front of that carwash last night..
i got a ticket for "driving too fast for the conditions" which translates to "i'm jealous that you're younger than me, and own a nicer car than me". |

| hahaha. i got pulled over there too! I dont know why they are there so often! |

WTF fight that ticket thats complete bullshit. If you were not going over speed limit there is no justification on what is too fast and isn't.
Charlse what did you say you swapped into your civic? |

Actually...
The speed limits are for "good road conditions" however if you where in control of the car, and had no problem stopping for the cop, then yeah, not justified, but if you went to stop and slid all over the place.. totally justified. |
|
|

| i wasn't speeding and there's no speed recorded on the ticket.. its just a case of a jealous cop, and he saw me accelerate hard off a light which made the back-end step out a bit, but i was totally in control. |

Sooo basically like Chrome's thread, but yours was intentional, so your lucky you didn't get a stunting ticket like him |

| any touchless car washes without a guard rail but has underspray? My skirts take a beating with the damn guard rail at the local touchless with underspray. |
