Just to give you a response to your two questions.

You'll definetely have to pay GST.
You'll pay duty if the car wasn't manufactured in North America. So a Toyota made in the US is Duty Free, which if you had a Brazillian built Jetta it would be charged duty.

You'll pay a slight RIV fee, AC tax as well if you have.

thanx man. hhmmm it sounds kinda complicated.

Everyone I read who has done it always states that it's fairly easy once you read the many FAQ's on how to do it.

It just requires a bit of paperwork, but on some cars the savings is $5000+

Read, read read.

It's not that hard.

I've done it twice.

After the second one, I'd highly recommend flying down to get it and drive 'er home.

Im pretty sure that Customs doesnt care where it was built, when I was asking the customs guy about bringing back a z3 which was manufactured in USA they said they would still charge Duty since it was not an American based Company.

I'd tell 'em to fuck off Jordan.

Z3 is built in the USA, and that's that. They can't legally make you pay duty on it.

Look at prices and check.

Check www.riv.ca to make sure the cars are admissable.
