Is there any way to prevent this? I was reading around and was given the impression that when a car is lowered, sometimes door sag occurs.
I think, as a result of the door sag, it sorta messed up some door trim and now I have some other window-trim issues. Is there any way to prevent it?
thanks |

I don't see how lowering a vehicle could cause door sag, unless your suspension had like no travel and was pounding at every bump, even then there would be other issues.
Can you replace pins in the hinge or is it the whole assembly thats gota come out? I had a car once that had bad hinges so you would kinda throw the door up when you closed it. |

| Door sag is often caused by fools using it as a crutch while getting in and out of the car, or by people just leaning on them in the summer time. Nothing to do with lowering. |

| There is no way that lowering a car will cause door sag. Unless you have unibody frame damage. Most likely your door hinges are misaligned or worn out. |

so you suggest the possibility that people with solid suspension drive around over bumps.. with their doors open? |

What GTS-jeff said is right.. Its from people leaning on the doors to get into the car. Happens more often when your car is lower.. Harder to get into.
My buddy had an integra that the drivers door wouldnt close all the way because of it.... I just droped the latch on the doorjam a little bit and it worked as a temp fix.
Told him to stop using his door as a crutch, and he claims he never did... then I seen him do it as he got in his car to drive away. |

The Door Tilts down in the rear end.. Due to people leaning on it to get in their car..
Or Using it as a Brace/Crutch to help get up and out of their car... |
