Ok, so now that I have a little spare time, here's the deal on this car.
I bought it a little over a year ago (Oct 2005) and paid $10,000 for it. I have since put in another $6,000 in parts.
The price for parts is not including labour and is a lot less than anyone else would pay. My father works for Kal-Tire and my good friend is a mechanic there. That means that whenever I need a part for my car I get all the parts at COST, then I don't have to pay for labour as my friend does all the work on his own time.
He is a mechanic that takes cars very seriously, he is absolutely meticulous about his work, and I wouldn't let anyone else touch my car.
Anything that this car needs parts-wise I get immediately there is no point in me not buying parts for this car as I get it all at cost, no labour, plus I have a charge account there.
Let me give you an example, the Yokohama Prada Spec 2 tires that have seen about 2-3 months of wear that are on my brand new 17 IN Enkei Wheels, cost me next to nothing. These tires retail for $225.00 each from Kal Tire, my cost - $90 a tire. Free balancing, mounting, warranty etc. Same thing for my Yokohama AVS Winter tires!
The Enkei wheels - $350 retail, I paid $180 and I am passing the savings on to you on all these buys.
Any maintenance work/ preventative maintenance work has all been done already, I pay dealer cost on parts and no labour, plus get a seriously anal mechanic to do all the work and tuning - he loves working on this car. All parts used are OEM from Acura or better.
I have reciepts for pretty much everything I have done, even the JL amps are brand new. If you were to price out just the tires, wheels and amps alone, you would come up with:
Yoko Summers - $900
Yoko Winters - $900
Enkei Wheels - $1400
JL amps - $950 each
JL speakers - $600
That's $5,700 plus tax right there just in tires and audio. That's not including all the other parts I have replaced and all the labour me and my mechanic have put in.
This will be an excellent deal for someone who wants to buy a 'project' car that is 90% complete. All there is left to do is maybe add a turbo?
I should also mention that at the moment this car needs a new knock sensor (it's in the mail) and some new Trailing Arm bushings, both of which will be installed before selling.
Also, reason for selling is that I am looking to buy a WRX, something with a little bigger interior, as I am a little over 6 ft tall, and also AWD for the winter.
Price is negotiable, but that will be done in person, not from lowballers on the internet.
Any questions please feel free to PM or gimme a call.
Thanks for looking.

| i still don't understand why people ask so much for these...YA they are rare but damn with that money u can get something way better |
|

| They are rare cars. Having said that, only a certain people will pay the premium for the mods others put on. In most cases one would not recover the amount of $ put into customization. |

like I said before, I bought this car for $10,000 one year ago and have since put well over $6,000 in parts only into this car.
So I am not trying to recover my cost for the mods, only trying to get my initial investment back.
This car needs to be seen and driven to be truly appreciated.
Any other gripes about pricing can be PM'd to me or kept to yourself, I don't need people bashing my thread. -
As per the rules - 6) Do not post negative comments in someone's "For Sale" threads. |
