Hey AFI , got a question - Click HERE for Original Thread

fugumerkur
I have been wanting to dyno my merkur for as long as I have owned it.
I was wondering if it is acceptable to bring my car in even though it is far from finished in terms of performance, My intercooler piping is temporary and ugly! Some wires here and there and so on.
The car is driveable and runs very well. I was just wondering if you guys would still do some base runs so I can see what I am starting with and have something to grow from.?

Thanks

95IntegraRS
Yeah we are willing to do baseline runs on your car for sure. All we ask is that you call the shop and book a time with us to do the runs.

Looking to hear from you!

Have a good weekend.

fugumerkur
THanks for the reply and I will definitely call or stop in in advance to set up a time. I'll clean up some ugly in the engine bay and get back to you guys.:D

If you ever need some help doing work on your Merkur, bring it by the shop and we can give you a hand. See you soon!

fugumerkur
I came by the shop last friday, no one was there! though it was around lunch! If you guys are too busy this week (christmas coming and all) I want to set up an appointment for early January just to get a base run.

Anything I can do to make it easier to get the car on the dyno?

95IntegraRS
Just make sure the car is in good running order and everything should be alright. We aren't too booked up for dyno appointments right now, so whenever you are ready, I'm sure we can find a spot for you.

Later!

fugumerkur
What are your hours, I might swing by after work to set up an appointment. Tried to come by yesterday but I think I was too late.

95IntegraRS
We're usually in until 10 most nights...

fugumerkur
wow thats some late hours, I'll just call ahead when i am coming in.!

Thanks.

How much would a couple of runs be?

As Dean stated, we charge 80 dollars for 3 runs on the dyno as a baseline.

For any custom tuning, we charge 120 dollars an hour.

It is actually 150 per hour for tuning and 120 an hour for dyno time.

Out of curiosity, is that 3 runs for 1 car, or would I be able to get say, 1 run for 3 different cars? (I realize that this means the dino results wouldn't be as consistent as if 2 or 3 runs were done with the same car)

If you've ever been to a dyno, strapping some cars down can be a pain in the ass, I doubt anyone would charge the same price to do 1 run on 3 seperate cars.

K, Thanks. Was just curious.

LOL, I like the way you think, but there is no way in hell I am dynoing 3 cars for 80 bucks. It is for 1 car only.
