I'm sure most people who have done some exhuast modifications have been victim to some loser-ass cop saying their car is too noisy or that their exhaust tip is too big. Is there any way to fight these tickets through manipulation of semantics or something?

Dosen't it have to reach a certain noise level before they can charge you on this?<p>Christ, they guys on the Harley's are much worse than any import cars I've ever seen.

Very very true. I guess you could say that in court or something. But there's something about a standard size of tip that's not right. But I suppose you could say the tip is standard for that exhaust SYSTEM....hmmmm.

Chances are not good. I think its a bylaw and bylaws can be just about anything for no apperent reason.

Frick, they should give them tickets for just having bad taste. Why do you need a 5" exhuast tip with 1.75" exhuast pipe diameter?
