When I first saw the trailer I thought it would be a pretty cheezy movie. But I wanted to go out to the theater and already saw all the other movies on the roster except for 2-3. Definetly didnt want to see a waste of money like Black Christmas so I decided on Children of Men.
I gotta say I was thoroughly impressed with the film. The story is well told. Michael Caine as a pot smoking hippie was effing hilarious. And Clive Owen really shows his acting bravado. The camera work in the movie is amazing, you really really get the feel of a depressing future of chaos, and some of the shots that last more than 4min are all done in one take and just come out fantastic. Definetly Reccomend it. 3.5/4. |

Thanks for the review. As you once felt, I feel this movie is best viewed as a rental, only if someone else is renting. :lol:
The previews did not really generate an interest for me. Infact when I am in the theaters I wish I had a remote that I can hit the fast forward button. :D
I will check it out this week. :D

| At first I really wanted to see this movie then I read some reviews and they were great but it sounded kinda boring. Anyways I went yesterday and i have to say it was quite good. Like Orzel mentioned the camera work (espicially at the fugi camp was amazing well done) and the rest of the movie was exceptional. The one thing I didn't like was the ending, kinda seems like they cut it short but still gonna go with 8.5/10 |
