Just debuted, Project car magazine.
They do three small buildups on very popular japanese cars, A coworker picked one up . I stole it from him in the lunch room and couldn't getmy hands off of it, well written, great pics (240sx 3/4 view with a big keyscratch down the side, and 5 holes drilled for the intercooler mounted low in the bumper! I love it.!
They show budget builds and prices (estimated) for what parts work well and how to bolt them up BOLT BY BOLT in pics!
I wish I could find a link on the web, amazingly I cannot.
Project Car < is the magazine. Check your local convenience store, its well worth it.!

I just wish I could find a link for it. I searched for about half an hour for the website or any info on it but couldn't find it!
The mag features
a $2000 build up on an older civic, some engine mods to a 1st gen TSi Eclipse and suspension and engine mods to a 240 sx.
Its all got a rating system and estimated time for the job to be completed, they reference all their sources for parts with webpages. Even with one cam adjuster they show the gains at every few adjustments, ONe car also they dynoed after installing intake , then exhaust , you get to see the gains.
two page write up on what to look for when buying a JDM engine
and lacks all the fake breasted import tuner girls.! |

I guess I'll give this one a shot since two of my favorite mags hit the crapper with new formats (SCC and C&D).
Here's hoping nobody fucks up Sports Car International. |

Redesigns don't always end up bad. Yes it takes a while to get used to, both for the media outlet and reader, but in the end there are often benefits from the change. While I agree that the SCC and C&D changes are a little offputting, I have faith that they will create a good balance in the end. I have been reading both of them (coincidentally the only two I tend to get each month) for many years and I'm not about to abandon them for trying something new.
Have you sent in any letters to the magazines? Let them know how you feel. They are making the magazine for us, the readers, and if we don't like it, they will make changes.
I'll have to give this other mag a look here. I also need to subscribe to a few of these mags I get every month, it's starting to cost a small fortune buying off the newsstand. |
