Someone posted this a while ago but I think this is a new trailer. What are your thoughts on the movie? I think it looks great in terms of the cars and the women but I think it will make for a shitty storyline, just like Fast and the Furious did...that being said it should do good....sad but true. But hey I'm still going to go watch it...lets face it, tons of exotics and half naked women will make this movie good.:lol:

This was supposed to be my Idea for the Need for Speed Movie Adaption. (Before all the tuner cars were introduced, Need for Speed II, III and High Stakes.)

What I would have done with this movie is brought in an actor like Ethan Hawke, placed it in europe running from Paris France to Spain, Italy, Switzerland, Germany, and eventually Moscow, Russia. and ran a cannonball type script along with it. (I'm talking about the cannonball event, not Burt Reynold's Cannonball Run)
Keep the high stakes, High Dollar element about it, introduce some Hot Pursuit Lambo Police chases, etc.
Think of the Mountainous course on NFSIII, you're running from a Lambo Gallardo police car avoiding logging trucks and the like. Make it just like the video game.
Just my little opinion.

OMG that movie sucked!!! The cover is very misleading, there is no celica and no red car (300zx looks like from the small picture). From what I remember it has little to do with street racing, more about paying some mod guy back or something. |

i love how at high speeds everyone visciously especially the girl cranks the wheel to pass. its like they need to move over like 50 feet in a second otherwise the pass wont happen. ill download it off the net, i just wish that a real video would have come out by now.
I know theres a website, like New york street racin or something where they had a bunch of cars do huge burnouts and breakstands in downtown New york and they do actually racing, same with Chicago street racing ( however that one sucks , all the videos are so dark its over dramatic for its own good )
Still cant believe a reasonable street racing video has not be made, you know the average Talon vs 5.0 , the typical street race where average cars are in the 12-14 second range . Cause even in vancouver with all the muscle cars and rich preppy boys, we dont have 4 riced out or muscle cars in the 10 second range that meet up every week with 2000 dollars to race. We have those cars and they do race, but common.
All i can remember now is me and Wookey in the states and a guy with a stripped out crx with a b16 and 175 shot of NOS wantin to race my civic for a 1000 dollar buy in... |
