| For what reasons did you purchase the current car you own? |
|

| STiPWR |
I bought mine because its the ultimate albertamobile.
Not a million on the road like RSX's
AWD (daily drivable regardless what the roads are like)
Turbo (Easy and cheap to upgrade)
Spacious (for an import)
300hp/300ft/lbs ( well on the dealership webpage anyways)
Aftermarket support. ( Popular modded car, lots of stuff)
And its fucking fast. (STiPWR PWN3S JOO!!!11!one)

My 240
- Turbo engine (easy to mod, tons of support)
- Light weight (2750 now a days is LIGHT)
- RWD (I like burnouts, donuts and the occasional drift)
- Sexy shape that doesn't look dated
and a bunch of shit I can't remember right now.
My Spec V
- I liked autocross at the time
- Good power for it's class (got it before the SRT-4 came out)
- LSD
- Affordable |

I always wanted one. So I bought one. I like the way it looks, drives and sounds, is completely practical when the snow is gone, only has two seats so I don't have to carpool anyone (if you had a minivan at 16, you'll know what I'm talking about) and is reliable.
I bought it because I wanted something outrageous to drive, and IMO, I have that now. It's light, quick and despite the stiff suspension, it's amazingly comfortable spending 16 hours a day in it.
Honestly, unless I could afford an F430, I wouldn't drive much else. |

Main reason was because I needed a 4 door since we had a baby on the way so the old car had to go.
Reasons for this car over others: solid feel, great handling plus a smooth ride, always loved the looks of the e46's. And I didn't want to drive the same boring fwd sedans most family men end up driving. |

i'd dreampt about GT-R's since i was 13 to me it was the ultimate non-exotic car on the market. My first trip to Japan 3 years ago was my first ride in a skyline and first time i've seen one, i was hooked and knew i'd own one one day. So i went back last summer and bought it, havn't looked back.
I bought the tercel because i was 15 and wanted a car it was $300bux. i've learned alot from it mechanically speaking. I riced it out also because i was 15 and it was cheaper than modding it. In other words don't buy a car on a limited budget at a young age. |

2000 SiR
I love Hondas.. civics mainly. I had two CRXs in my life -one had a B16A2 in it and the second one was completely stock. I fell in love with Hondas after that.
The 99-00 SiR, imo, was the best looking out of all the civics. Nice clean lines, somewhat spacious and hey, a B16A2. Damn near impossible to find one that has low mileage and is in pristine condition. Saw mine with 49K kms on it and in absolute mint condition. I couldn't say no.
Obviously not a powerhouse, but it's great on gas, super reliable and it looks fucking cool. |

AWD, rally heritage, 4 doors.
I think it's one of the best "bang for you buck" vehicles you can get. And after market support is great due to the universal nature of every Subaru as far the chassis and engine design. :) |

Well Ive owned all sorts of cars for differnet reasons.
81 Trans Am Turbo -- First car, fun and fast, very rare And I made it look nice, and learnt a lot from it
93 Infiniti J30 -- Great deal at the time, and had all the luxury options with decent power to back it up
I <3 RWD btw
90 Toyota Celica GT4 -- Needed a car desperately, and liked the looks/handling/speed/reliability of it
90 Skyline -- Loved the looks and missed my RWD turbo cars. Inline 6 FTW
And now currently searching for another car, probably JDM
Aristo V maybe or RX-7 who knows :P |

I bought my bike cause its a honda (reliability) and style.. I love the blunt nose on the cbr's.. Also, I felt 600cc was perfect size to learn on.. |

-When I bought my 3 there were very few in town and the wait for a new one was huge.
-The only new car I could afford at 19 that I actually wanted.
-4 doors meant I didn't have to trade it in when we had our kid
-Gave me a chubby when I first saw it. |

| wanted AWD and a wagon, preferably 5 spd and something with enough power to be fun. so i went to subaru and bought the impreza wagon. carried an engine hoist in it, no problems, first day i had it. been hauling tons of shit around since and loving getting double the mileage my old car got. |

I was driving a pos death trap, and it was offered to me free, all I needed to do was a tune up and new fuel lines.
I like it now, it looks alot larger than it is, decent highway milage, with a hitch and a trailer it's very versital, I can do everything I want, cept 4x4, haul people, hide things in the trunk, haul large object(I once hauled a 7' by 8' desk with hutch in the trunk :P ) |

the Gtx: rarer than a skyline on the board, turbo, awd, light, ugly
the stang: tin can with fluid for a tin can with fluid... dont get much cheaper than that |

I can already hear the boo's.
1) 85 Merkur XR4TI
ITs butt ass ugly. I don't want a car that blends in, yet is so undistinguishable it doesn't draw attention in its stock form.
The handling, yeah it leans in the turns but I can go from dirt to track and not worry. Comfy to drive in for long periods of time and if I took the time to fix the heated seats it would be better.!
The car is technical enough to keep me on my toes with the heavy upgrades but easy to learn on without worrying about breaking it.
Parts are out there, and the aftermarket is surprisingly big.
I am a Turbo ford guy, will probably always be a turbo ford nut and enjoy it even in my dreams!
2) 89 Mustang 2.3L NA
Mustang fever! First car was a mustang and this will be my 4th.
The 2nd mustang is what did it for me and that was because it was 1 of 512 Jalapeno red Mustang SVO"S (total run of 9800apx) Koni suspension , locking diff with 3:43 rear gear, Borg warner T-5 Garrett turbo , intercooled 4wheel discs with 16x8 rims. almost perfectly balanced front to rear weight distribution.
This 89 mustang will be heading down this route in the near future with the motor coming in less than a few weeks. It already has the 8.8 LSD from a Thunderbird Turbo coupe including full suspension replacement.
How can you pass up a turboed mustang that will handle and to start out will have cost me only $300.00! |

92 subaru legacy wagon:
-my civic was destroyed and i needed a car
-i always wanted AWD
-there weren't very many cars in my price range at the time
93 festiva lx
-"flip that car" episode of my life, the tranny, brakes, shocks, all fukked when i got it so only paid $200
-fixxed it all up, tinted it out, drove it to work for a while
-sold it for about $2G's
96 civic cx
-the previous owner must have been insane to sell me that car in 1998 for $9 G's!! |

I WANNA GO FAST!
 |
|
|
| SHO Munky |
Current car (volvo): it was FREE!!!!!!!!!!!! and rwd
Other car (Taurus SHO): No many people know what it is and can do; also the potential of it.
New car (mazda3 sport): new + good price + 4 year warrenty  |
|

| Two doors, five gears, uncommon, rwd, supportive/comfortable seats, two stage suspension, goes like a bat out of hell............... when it goes at all. |

I made my most recent purchase because of:
1. Snow!
2. Price.
3. Warranty.
4. Common availability of parts. |

REASONS FOR BUYING A DODGE SRT-4
Suprises those who don't know what it is.
People who do know what it is hate them, and always losing to them. (Who the hell likes getting beat by a NEON!?)
I actually like the styling of them. (Only with Eyelids though)
Very large aftermarket.
Very easy to make quite fast.
NOW REASONS FOR WANTING SOMETHING ELSE.
FWD FTL:( Will never do a high horsepower FWD ever again. |

NSX - One of the most beautiful cars I know of, it's amazingly reliable and pretty quick (13's stock). A definate attention getter.
Galant - Nobody will ever see it coming and I've got the experience to get it into the 12's like my Talon was.
Now I'm looking for a reliable 4 door car with AWD and a fair bit of power and luxury to replace my IS300, I'm thinking S4, but who knows. Maybe I'll get an STi. |
