Let the flaming begin.
ok 1. Your reason for this better be for your front passanger.
2. It is illegal to have a video play back device, laptop, dvd, whatever in view of the driver while the vehicle is in motion... if caught they might give you a driving with undo attantion and care ticket |

| My dad has the same car.. We've tried. there's no way.. Also, the e-brake on that car will engage even on the first click so there is no way to do it while driving. |

Find the e-brake, follow the lever, if no switch at the lever... follow the cable... there is a simple switch, normally a wire that simply grounds out find that wire.. cut said wire, or if it does just ground out add a splice, run that wire to a switch. Flip switch on e-brake light will come on, but dvd will play. |

Or do that.. cause an expensive suv is something to fuck with.. haha jk. Honestly.. Is it for the passenger? Cause its way nicer in the back with the seats reclined if you ask me.. Not like you can watch while driving. |

| What we do is watch videos that the driver can find funny or intersting by listening to it (put it on surround).. Like jackass or family guy etc. lol. |

Bah, I have a lawyer client with a navigator, I took parts or it apart. :P
Or find your e-brake cable, adjust.. aka loosen it abit, and pull your e-brake up one notch |

| If this is a Nav system its possible it will track the vehicle through GPS and disable the video even though the ebrake wire is grounded, kinda like the N3 Pioneer. |

I just wired in a relay and switch.
I enjoy watching DVD's while driving, preferably around the 220km/h range, street racing..
In a school zone.
At Lunch time. |

for a factory unit, e-brake will not work thats not how it works
it's not designed to play dvd's on the screen
and the GPS/NAVI can tell your moving and not let it play video, if you are moving foward it won't show the rear view
if it was for another reason i would say the way to get around it, but i'm not going to because you doing that is unsafe and should not be done
but i do know how to make it play dvd's it's called tricking the unit into thinking it's doing something it's not with a bunch of rewireing |
