Fuel saving devices put to the test - Click HERE for Original Thread

Popular Mechanics was sick of hearing second-hand info about the products like the Tornado fuel saver and decided to put them to the test.

The results may surprise you.

Neat read, not exactly surprised though.

Hehe, I figured nobody actually would be. The fact that some of the devices caused like 20 per cent losses is pretty crazy.

I love the comment at the end about how these companies will likely now say that they were "featured in Popular Mechanics magazine." That makes you wonder how many of those ads you see out there with comments like that were negative features of the products.

"As seen on 60 Minutes" (in a scathing documentary about how our product has killed over 90 per cent of the people that purchase it). hehehe

Or "We'll put you in that crooked home we saw on 60 minutes."

Mythbusters did a similar thing. Kinda cool :)

I have been putting acetalyene(spelling) In my tank. About 2 ounces per every full tank and I am noticing better fuel economy with that. Just make sure not to get it on your paint.

Crappy tire $8.50 for a litre which lasts quite a while.

Acetlyne? So, you hooked a gas bottle off a cutting torch to your car?

Could it be ACETONE?

Sorry, my mistake. I started doing it 2 weeks ago, I was over at a buddys house and his dad was talking about it and I said I would try it in my car. It works pretty well.
