I'm currently waiting for a part to come in at park mazda. I bought an rx-8 on jan 2nd and when I went to register it they told me I needed and oop because it was form quebec. Anyways they're doing the oop but they're waiting on a part to come in.. My problem is that it's been at the dealership for the last 2 weeks waiting for this part to come in. There's nothing I can do except wait. I've tried the bitching thing but it's not going to help the part get shipped here any faster.
Just wondering if anyone else has ever had to wait this long for a part to come in. Or have had problems like this before. |

It's something called an a/c amplifier. When it goes, the heat doesn't work and when you set it to windsheild defog, it changes from fresh air to recirculating air.
There's a warehouse in toronto that houses most of mazdas parts for Canada. But I'm not sure if they keep them all there. I'm also guessing they're backed up with all the bodyshops ordering parts all over Canada. |

i'm waiting on connecting rod bearings for an Acura Integra... I ordered on dec 15th, and they are "back ordered" until january 25th. I thought it was bullshit, but maybe there is something to it?
NOTE: the guy on parts at southview acura is borderline handicapped. |

I've have condensors on order for my motorcycle for like 5-6 years with Suzuki. Now it's a 1972 and they said it might take a while but wow what if it could take a long time? Points were a 1 1/2 years.
Totaly different but tell them to fuckin hurry up. If they send it on a stock order it will take longer than if you said to air mail it for example. But then they will charge you for shipping, but like how much will it cost 20-30$? |

| I've ordered parts through mazda before. Like 15yr old parts that took less than 24hrs to get here from toronto. It pisses me off. |

wouldn't it be the other way around? I know my dodge switches to only outside air if you want to use 100% windshield defrost. You want clean DRY air defrosting your windows, not moist inside air. |

Yeah that's the problem with it. That's why it needs to be replaced. You get a gold star  |
