New goodies acquired (at a very good price... thanks Jared!!):

No, not for the Z. They're for my B15, the daily driver. (Dammit... There I go again, I just used a bloody chassis code in a sentence!) |

THANK YOU sir!!! That was exactly my point about chassis codes (a little peeve of mine).
How the heck could I reasonably expect everyone outside of Nissan circles to automatically know what a "B15" is...?
I rest my case.
Anyway, to answer your question, yes B15 is the Nissan chassis code for the 2000 (2001 in Canada) - 2006 Sentra.
While the Nismo suspension components were designed specifically for the '02-'06 SE-R/Spec-V models, they are perfectly compatible with my '01 SE (w/ Perf Pkg) model. |

From one of our friendly neighbourhood Z Club friendly car dealerships of course.. Ericksen Nissan. :D
"Jared" = member 1mns13 = Ericksen's Parts Manager
(Not only was the price I paid awesome, but what I theoretically saved by not having to pay to ship those parts from a US vendor myself was significant too). |

Well, you could just call it a 'Sunny' :p
Good score on the parts, even better on the shipping.
Fedex just sent me a bill for $ 60.00 for brokerage and GST on my Scott Smith hardpipes he sent me before Christmas. That effectively wipes out the discount from the group buy. And I told him to ship it post, too
Also, my pet peeve is when 'Z car' and 'sport compact' appear in the same sentence.

Bummer on the shipping. :(
Coincidentally it looks like SPL won't do parcel post anymore (they used to a few years back), just UPS and Fedex.
Unfortunately the only weapon we have against the courier price-raping is LARGER orders. We really get killed on smaller orders (eg. you'd pay $20 brokerage on a $20 order... bend over), but the larger you go, proportion wise the better the shipping deal gets ('better' being relative of course). eg. You won't pay $500 on a $500 order.
I'm just glad I didn't have to pay to ship that Nismo rear bar, as I mentioned. Its shipping weight including the packaging and hardware was about ~30 lbs, and its a fairly large box. |

Goddamn, time flies. I finally got around to installing the lower tie bar yesterday. Geez, it's only been a year and a half since I got it.
So far I like. :D I haven't done any real spirited driving yet, but just on the commute this morning the steering feel was noticeably firmer and the car even seemed to track straighter. So far it gets my stamp of approval.
Next will be the rear sway bar install. |

That chassis code conversation is a year and a half old as well, eh. :p |

I see that, but I knew how long you've been sitting on those parts for.
Nothing like needing a :stickpoke to get you going. |

You should see my pile of parts for the Z, most of which have been sitting around almost as long. :smack: |

| I've at least got a schedule for my parts...the header's going on after our vacation -- though with Sept 27 and Oct 4 filling up, I don't know when, as it won't be during those weekends, so no added umph for the slaloms. After that, I just have my brakes, which will likely go on before then, and I'm done...until the supercharger actually starts to ship from Cosworth...then look out. |

Well, Richard, at least you take the view that Mahesh and myself do:
M: dude, let's install your turbos this weekend, it'll be easy!
R: dude, lets pull your motor this weekend, it'll be easy!
And it isn't easy, but it is done.
No pissing around waiting for the 'right' moment, we gets on our coveralls and does it.
Sometimes you just need someone to give you a kick in the @ss.

I like Cheezwiz
and the fact that us mere mortals can't delete our posts 'cuz we don't have 'permission', yet we can post as much as we want.
780 oversight that needs attention.
PS: there was sarcasm in the previous post, please disregard.

Rather than take the bait I'll just opt to keep my mouth shut. :supereek:
These "discussions" tend to go nowhere fast. |

You can edit your posts as often as you like, you just can't completely remove them. If you wish for one of your posts to be nuked, vaporized, or other, just ask. |

eh, you post aboot your parts on a shelf for a year, I get mine installed. It was a dig... rilly.
FWIW, you're still quite a bit faster at autoX and track days.
Still owe you a raincheck
still trying to figger out this sarcasm thing.
