This is entering the final stages of planning. I need to know who is interested and I have to get some number to help finish the planning. Please let me know of any concerns that you may have threw PM or just post them up here.
This is NOT a offical V8less event, its a meet for fun, but steps will be taken to make it as professional and fun as possiable. The Event will be setup with a cruise before hand and will run for a good part of the day. It is planned for the south edmonton commons Cinaplexodeon and I am trying to work out something for better pricing and stuff. also I am going to ask that the club gets some kind of special seating if possiable

The main event will take place on saturday and I believe we'll be meeting, then cruising, and ending up at the theater for the car show... and for those of you that want to see the movie, we're also going to see if we can get a "group buy on tickets???"
FYI - Keep in mind that this event is to promote the community and sport compacts in Edmonton and we want a good reputation, so please be responsible when you attend this event :)
Seems like we've got 10 ppl so far, which should mean 10 cars... come on everyone else, we want to see you out at this event :) |

| The main part of the event is planned for saturday. But we might have just a small meet on friday. I am going to be there handing out promotional stuff for the v8less nights show. If someone would be interested in parking a show quality car in, or in front of the theater that would be most helpful. |

I talked to matrix motorsports today, they are putting a little thing on at the theater on the friday night, they have requested that we supply some cars. the cars will be parked outside the theater, likely on the sidewalk area that surrounds the building. Support would be most helpfull, clem ? eric ? nathen ? all you other guys with fine autos. Everyone that supplies there car to show on friday night might get in to a advanced screening.. please message me or post if you can help me out with this. or even better email me directly

OH and just as a added BONUS, we are kinda competeing against EZ-Motorsports' show at silver city.. so I think we can all agree that stacking south commons just to show them up would be fun :D. V8less is silently backing both though because this movie is by far the most visable way to show off the club to the un-initiated we are likely going to get at one time. |

| we should have a club compatition, see which club can bring out the most people. Clubs that I personally know of are, DC5AB, the DC2 club, prelude, nexus, club el, civic evolutions, the rx7 club. I was planning on having the clubs all parked together anyway. How about the clubs with the most members will be parked closest to the theater or something like that =). |

| I will be organizing that, But. We were planning on organizing the parking based on a pre-parking meeting, which will be taking place in the heratige mall parking lot, from there the cars will be grouped and rolled out to the theater. If you guys show up there we can group you and things will be parked the same way =) |

| stop looking at porn and most of the popups will go away =). As cool as the autocross idea is its pretty unlikely, We need to think about liability if something happens and I don't wana even think what could happen if there was some kind of autocross related crash during the meet. |

Guys/Gals, just to recap a bit....
June 6th (friday) - Have fun meet n greet at cinaplex basically just for the hell of it :)
June 7th (saturday) - Cruise followed by show n shine... gas up and bring some lawn chairs and a good attitude :) We're gonna have fun at this one, go enjoy/laugh/take seriously the movie in shifts and talk to people about v8less nights, the club, and our cars :)
More details to come, just a lil reminder. |

Bring FRS radios if you have them, or grab someones cell phone.
I'll post an outline of the cruise on the board here so everyone has "directions" in case they get lost.

| when I was designing the poster I kinda intentionally left out where we were starting from.. The reason for that is that these posters are up around town.. and I didn't think we wanted every ricer in the city coming along.. I did put check out www.v8less.com for more information at the bottom though so that people that are really interested will hopefully look for that information here. And in doing so see stuff about v8less nights and a bunch of fun stuff like join the board.. I will be at the theater around 1:30 just in case some people that don't know any better show up there and then I will bring them to meet up with the larger group at gateway park.. its only like 5 mins from the theater anyway.. |

| Sure.... down sir winston churchhill, onto 184st... turn right at yellowhead, take anthony henday and turn left on whitemud... go till calgary trail south, and turn right heading south.... follow that for a just a lil ways past the new Ikea to the park w/ the oil derrik and bingo Gateway Park... :) Hopefully that helps! :) |

Saturday we'll have some reserved seating for ppl wanting to watch the movie, and I'll post the times for those shows tomorrow night b/c that's when we get the times.
Friday is just a fun thing like BP's, but instead we'll hang out at the theater.
Please keep in mind, that when attending this event on either day if not both... you're representing edmontons sport compact scene so we ask that you drive within the law for at least those two days and help to make the scene here look better versus making us all look like some thug street racers or something bad. |

What day you watch the movie is up to you.... we'll have reserved seating for a couple of the shows after 6:00pm on saturday....
Friday is just a fun thing, come down, meet some ppl, hang out. No plans of the group seeing the movie.
Saturday - cruise, break for supper, meet at designated spot and roll into theater for 6:00pm car show, there'll be a group who is able to go see the movie first while part of the group stays outside with the cars, then we'll switch it up and the other part of the group will go see the movie while those coming out of the first show will come watch the cars... the shownshine should be from about 6:00 till 10:30/11:00 (when box office closes)

I won't be there from like 6pm - midnight or anything, but I would like to stop by to watch the movie and hang out for a few hours later in the evening. (and having a group of people close to the car makes me a little more relaxed while watching the movie ;) ). |

I think it's better that we don't post our route on the board. Instead we'll announce it at the time of the event, before we leave. I think it will work better that way... :)
