I'm no Simon Cowel or anything, I don't know a lot about music, tone and pitch and beats or whatever else... What I do know, is what I like, and STADIUM ARCADIUM isn't it. I wish I could be more technical about my reasons for disliking them, but every time I hear a song from their new album I want to punch a hole in my radio. I think perhaps it's the vocals or weak lyrics, like "heyyyyyyyyy-ooooooooo, listen what i say-oooooooooooooo, snowwwwwwwwwwwwwwww" ugh, it makes my head hurt.
I'm just wondering if I'm the only person, if I am, then I'll just chalk it up to my own bad taste.

I hate that song, but my gf loves it. It annoys me so much I'd almost break up with her just for liking it, but it is popular and plays constant on the radio, so maybe we are the only ones that don't like it? |

88.5 FTW.
No more listening to the same crappy songs/ads over and over. You get to listen to a crappy song once and you will NEVER hear it again.
(And it has some enlightening discussion once in a while too). |

| RHCP has changed a lot. Anthony use to be a heroin addict, now he's a diva. They used to be funk now they suck. |

you may be not be the only one, but that only means there are more people that are wrong :P
Everyone has the right to an opinion, even if they're wrong. :D
RHCP have survived a LOT, and to their credit, they remain popular long after many bands have come and gone. Few bands can succesfully do that, you know.
And talk about drug use... Anthony Keetus aside, Fushianti should be dead 5 times over at LEAST.
Whats really interesting is to listen to pre-rehab RHCP, and post Rehab... it's totally different music, but the same as well.
Thats just good musicianship... which is more then you can say about a LOT of stuff being sold now adays.
If you're intersted, The Ongoing History of New Music, did a 4 part series, recently on RHCP that was very enlightning, plus they've been covered a few times in the past.
Check out the Previous Shows HERE. (go through the pages along the bottom to find it) |

Just like Metallica, I wish Hetfield would start drinking again and make this new album sound better. St. Anger was pure crap. I can't stand the new RHCP either, Bloodsugarsexmagic and Californication are the only albums I own from them and I like them both.
If anyone wants to hear what modern Metallica could sound like, listen to Trivium's new album The Crusade... That album got great reviews and Heafy's voice is shockingly close to Hetfield circa the early years. And even more wierd is Heafy is only 21 years old and born in Japan.
Some killer tracks off it are "Entrance of the conflagration" "And sadness will sear" "Unrepentant" "This world can't tear us apart" "Rising" but the whole album is good IMO.

Opinions are called such because there is no right or wrong. |
