Autobody Shops in Edmonton/Calgary. - Click HERE for Original Thread

MixManMash
Hey y'all,

I'm looking for a good autobody shop in Edmonton or Calgary that you would trust your Z with.

I need to take my Z in at the beginning of the season to get my rear fender's rolled. Just need a tiny bit of clearance for my gargantuan rear wheels (10" wide wheel, 285 mm wide tire).

Thanks in advance.

Inzane
Hmm... I wonder if your extra tire width (285 vs. 275) makes the difference. I run 275/35-18 on an 18x10 wheel on the rear and haven't had a problem... so far.

It's probably the offset (which I am still not sure what it is). If I go over a hard bump, I can hear it just touching.

I guess i could just get one of these Fender Rollers

Or the infamous tt.net method

vorpalz
are you sure it's hitting the fenders or the fender liner inside?

Inzane
What fender liner (rear)?

crazyrx7
I believe that Reflections Autobody does. I inquired when I bought my Q45 but in the end I didn't need to roll the fenders.

Good point. I am pretty sure it is just slightly touching the fenders. But, I will double check once winter is over and I put the wheels back on.

Thanks Rad. I'll give them a shout once the car is out of storage. BTW, did they give you an estimate of how much?

Yeah, it's just the rear wheels that would need to have the fenders rolled. I think there is a lining at the top. Can't recall though.

Inzane
I don't recall a liner in the rear fenderwell. (Just a plastic cover in-board for the fuel filler line on the driverside).

If your rear tires were rubbing anywhere it'd most likely be on the edge/lip of the fender itself, which is metal.
(edit* sorry, that was Captain Obvious speaking again, and you knew this already since you're asking about fender rolling in the first place).

I think they quoted me $100 per side. They don't guarente that the paint won't crack. They will try the're hardest to make sure it doesn't.
