Never been, but know people who have.

They say it is AWESOME! You definitely will not be disappointed.

Great attractions, and everything.

Just got back from Dubai 3 weeks ago visiting my older bro. What would you like to know?

GQsmooth
how are the girls there?

S2000_rider
The local Arab girls are very pretty but if you're not a local or Arab, you got no chance.

Don't forget though...70% of the population are expats, mostly Europeans from England, Germany etc etc etc...and they are just like the girls here...very easy to pick up.

Its a very good place to visit. You can get certian things cheep if you know market prices and can bargin like a mad mo fo.

Dubai is really nice..Probably the biggest booming city in the world. Its a bit harder to find booze there and dont be caught drunk in public....But they're is lot of nice place to see...and the weather is great. Enjoy...

Booming? they are on the fall, turning to tourisiam from oil, they figure there is only 10 years of oil left there. booming, hahaha

Dubai is a dry city for locals, as far as i know from my buddies who have worked there, only foreigners can drink. Hookers are cheap too

I didn't bother responding to his post...but since you did, I might as well also. Dubai is growing to be a massive business hub. Have you been to Internet city for example? They have offices for EDS, IBM, ORACLE, Microsoft, Cisco etc etc etc etc. They have roughlyl 30% of the world's cranes. Last visit before returning from Dubai 3 weeks was in 2004 and within 3 years, it has changed drastically. It's not going to bust anytime soon as Dubai is still expanding at a frantic pace. I can go on about what I saw etc etc...but I'll stop here. Have a visit and see for yourself.

I'm pretty sure that only 10% the UAE economy is actually based on oil. Its THree big one are Technology, Finance, and Tourism

I heard the same from my friend.

His uncle moved their for a job, decided to come back to be closer to family, lasted 2 months, and went back for good.

Its the Switzerland of the Desert, I watched a 4 hour documentary on it in Polish and it is truly one of the coolest places on earth. Plus Discovery Channel always has those sweet specials on it, definetly would like to visit one day.
