FS: Canon EOS 3000 film SLR Camera - Click HERE for Original Thread

Ok folks. The money fairy has not been kind, February rent will be too close to call, so I gotta do it to give me that safety buffer.

I have for sale 1 Canon EOS 3000 film SLR kit. Comes with everything you need to get started, except film. Batteries are included. Camera is several years old, but hardly used. It has taken exactly 108 pictures over the span of 3 days, and when not it use it was left with all lens and body covers on in the protective carrying case. All components are scratch free and in perfect working order.

I bought it for my mom, but then she passed away, which is why it's been used so rarely, just at a few weddings. It has a lot of sentimental value to me, but it's either this or have nowhere to live, so please consider that in your offers.

$250 obo NEW PRICE for body, aperture cover, carrying strap, protective carrying case, batteries, 35mm-80mm lens and both lens caps.

Looks like this:

No manual, no warranty. Manuals can be found online, and really any EOS manual will work with only minor differences. It has more features than you can shake a stick at including a "retard mode" so friends and family can take picture of you without having you explain everything. Manual or auto focus with the flick of a switch.

Some features include, but not lmited to:

Canon EF lens mount
Atuo and manual focus
Optional focus lock
30-1/20000 sec shutter speed
1/90 sec max flash sync speed
ISO Range 25-5000 in Automatic
ISO range 6-6400 in Manual
Program shift, aperture priority, shutter priority, full manual shooting modes
Macro, night, sports, portrait and fully automatic shooting modes
Evaluative and partial light metering
Auto exposure
Optional red eye reduction
Built in 12ft flash
Panorama mode
Self-timer
Preload (when you take a picture the film retracts into the film casing preventing most of your pictures from being destroyed if the back is opened before the film is fully rewound)

The automatic modes are simple as pie making this a great camera for anyone who would like to learn all about actual photography, as opposed to just point and click. When you need point and shoot modes, they're there for anything you would need: action sequences, portraits, landscapes, etc just by moving a dial to the correct picture (a head for portrait, a mountain for landscape, and so on, all very logical). For times you want something special and artistic, and the more you learn, the more options you will have.

For those who know all about cameras and photography, every option you will ever need is there.

What's this "film" you speak of?

HAHA! Just kidding. BUMP! For a nice guy.

dtjohnst
Speaking of film....I can toss some in. Lots. I won't have a 35mm camera once it goes.

And for the record, I think pictures look nicer on film.

dtjohnst
What's wrong? No one uses film anymore or what?

dtjohnst
How about $250 obo? The lens alone is worth a few bucks. It'll work on any camera that uses Canon EF mounts including the new snazzy Canon digital SLR.

dtjohnst
$200 firm. You're basically getting the lens for free now.

dtjohnst
Hitting the buy and sell this weekend if no one wants it.

Bump
