They want to attack us to hurt the U.S. Why is this surprising to anyone? After the initial attack on 9/11 I was terrified that we would see a response in Edmonton. The U.S. was locked down, but they can still hurt them from outside their borders and Alberta is one of the States' biggest lifelines.
The hate for Americans runs deep with these people and the Americans killing more and more innocent (or otherwise) people every day isn't helping their cause. |

You're missing the point here buddy. SITE is the group (of two people with a really interesting background) who provided the last Al-Qaida video that hit the day before Bush's last SOTU (amusingly they apparently had the video and its transcript to the media before it was even posted online, oopsie).
Today Bush made speech about the ongoing war on terror and the need for other NATO countries to increase their participation..... wow, what an super duper amazing coincidence that this new threat to Canada was released by SITE the day before Bush made this call for more support.... who'da thunk it! :p |

Snugs is right. Terrorists don't exist. 9/11 was all fabricated by the US government to enable them to go into Iraq and wage war against arabs. It's because the US, UK, Canada and all other NATO powers are being secretly lead by a coallition of Jews who's sole purpose is to eliminate all palestinians and arabs from the planet.

Bin Laden never used the name al Queda prior to 9/11. When clinton was president he would refer to "al Queda" as the "Bin Laden network". Anyone can claim to be al Queda, I could commit an act of terror and claim it was for "al Queda" but am I a member of this supposed organization, no. The Goverments of the worl have blown this group way out of perportion.

Conspiracy theorists are known for fabricating things. There was one guy who was going on radio shows and wrote books and all kinds of things about "Central Banking Theory" and all this stuff about how 4 or 5 families are controlling the entire economy of the whole world, and claimed he went on a radio program and debated with one of the world's leading economists who's only response to his entire story was "So? We're doing ok." Dig a bit, and you find out it never happened.
Granted, so is the Government. We can't forget the Bay of Pigs. Or that "alien space ship" that crashed in Australia which only decades later was revealed to be USAF testing an orbital nuclear weapons delivery platform.
But that's why it's important to cross reference information and sources regardless of who puts it out. Supporting one side or the other is useless unless you've crossreferenced. And I don't consider the testimony of 2 different conspiracy theorists to be sufficient crossreferencing.
9/11 will be our generations Kennedy Assasination. I doubt we'll ever proove conclusively what happened and what involvement anyone had. If no one was involved, their denials will only fuel the fire. If the government was, anyone who knows about it has too much to lose by coming forward.
But you certainly can't link some whakco's website and act like that ends the argument, I don't care if it is a guy who will likely win an award for his "journalism." Look at Alex Jones. I watched 2 of his documentaries and laughed the entire time at both of them, since they were on a subject I know personally, and was astounded at the amount of "evidence" he could find that supported his nutjob theories. |

Israel has never really stopped being hit by terrorists. Just like they've never really stopped sending terrorists into neighboring countries. Unless you meant a large scale terrorists attack with casualties similar to those from 9/11. But I wouldn't count on that. Every Arab knows Israel is waiting for an excuse to turn the entire region around them into a parking lot. The Western World has more people to answer to and stands to lose a lot more with a lot less to gain from actions that drastic. Not to mention the fact that I believe for the most part that the Arabs in the region don't really care about the Pallestinians except that it gives them more reason to hate the Israelis. When the Arabs had pushed Israel back and retaken much of the land that is currently disputed as "palestinian", did they return it? No, they kept it for themselves, until an Israel pushed them back out of it. They care as much for Palestinians as Israeli's do, which is to say not at all.
I always said if Sadam was smart he would've popped a few missiles into Israel before the US ultimatum he leave Iraq had passed. Israel would've responded in kind, and the world would've been redivided into another large scale war. Russia, China and the EU would likely not back the US on anything that had the Israeli's fighting side by side, and as we can see now with ongoing talks between Russia and China they're nearing the end of their patience with US aggression and imperialism.
Neither the arabs nor the jews have any right to play the victim, and the US definately doesn't have the right to play the moral highground deciding who's right and wrong given their history.
The US was hit. England was hit. I suspect some Eastern Block country might be next: perhaps Germany or some such, possibly France though everyone knows they hate the US so that might buy them some time. But Canada is definately on the list, and fairly high on it. Here in Canada we know all about the softwood lumber and Alberta Beef disputes, in Europe all they know is "North America" refused UK beef for what was it, 3 years or so? Thanks to the mad cow scare there, and they consider the US and Canada to be best mates, best trading partners and pretty well in agreement on international matters, even if we aren't, simply because historically, that's how it's been.
Terrorists aren't exactly the most educated bunch on the planet, and I can guarantee if that's how Europe sees us, an extremist likely won't have much of a different opinion. |
