What kidn of tires do you recommend? - Click HERE for Original Thread

I'm getting some new tires. I might start autocrossing, but I mostly do street driving so wear and sound is important. Plus good grip on the strip is important too. Any suggestions?

EG6 SiRII
Toyo T1-S, these tires last a long time and they're great in the rain.

there's another one, Bridgestone Potenza RE010, these are the tires that came with the Integra Type R, the treadwear is not as good as the Toyo T1-S, but grip on dry is better.
so it's better when you go racing.

yep if i had my time back I would have went with the T1-S.... very good tire. As is the 010. I went with a 032R which is a great tire but wont last more than a season (street driving).

i have the firehawk's sz50 ep's. they are aweseome.. so grippy in the rain and dry pavement!

Hands down, performance vs cost, Kumho 712 Ecsta Supras.
They are relatively inexpensive and ask anyone who's owned a set, quite good in rain, awesome in the dry pavement.
I have a set myself, and the only thing I find is that they don't break traction very smoothly at the limit. It's not all that bad though.
Check it out.

Thanks for the replies. Which tire shop is the best then?
Anyone ever run slicks for the drag strip?

TurboBlueNX
Rick over at Fastech Tires in the west end.
If you buy him beer, he'll like spend extra time getting your car right.
