What was the price new???
IF the car is MINT, the dealership takes about $0.10 - $0.20 (cents)/km off the price tag.... Every KM on the car is worth between the 0.10 and 0.20 cents mark, so @ 20cents it's about $6000.00, so you could theoretically sell the car for $6000.00 less than retail but that's being very optimistic.... You also have to take into consideration that ppl will want to barter the price down to nothing, and if the car isn't in the same condition on the body, motor, interior, etc as when it was sold new then you have to subtract more money from the price :( (We figured this out when trying to sell off our 1999 Acura TL... it's one of those dealership things where they try and get it for nothing, like most ppl will anyhow)
My suggestion is look around on buysell.com and canadatrader.com to see what the prices of a newer prelude are going for and price accordingly, but on the higher end so you have some room to play with and then put an add in those magazines... I know buysell.com = bargain finder you can put free adds in... |

I have checked the price in trader and bargainfinder.
The price for a 2001 prelude ranges from 26500~30000.
Now I am selling for 28000 obo, my target is 27000.
Is it reasonable enough???
I have to sell it very soon, however the trader and bargainfinder seem are not effective at all..... |
