Greetings folks,
I just thought I'd get the first word out to the club forum here that we have our date and venue booked for the annual show n' shine.
Its going to be at Bonnie Doon Mall, on Saturday, June 9th.
We also have a back-up rain out date booked for Saturday, June 23rd.
Not all the details have been established yet as a car show committee hasn't been formed yet. But the safe assumption to start with is the show will run at the normal time of Noon to 4pm, with registration starting at 11am.
Just to put the issue to bed because I know it will be asked. YES, this show is open to ALL Nissan/Datsun/Infiniti owners. You do not have to be a member of the Edmonton Z Car Club to participate.
In the past the demographics of the show has been a mix of EZCC members, Calgary Z Club members, folks from Red Deer, Reg Sumaru and his Z-Force crew and customer cars, and people off the street that either catch word from our posters, radio ads or just happen to roll by the day of. There will also be some vendor/sponsor displays as well.
Entry fee is not set yet but it'll likely be in the $10-20 range. Half the money raised goes to charity and the other half supports the club (expenses, etc.). There will be tonnes of door prizes and trophies for the various show categories.
There will be more info posted in coming months as we get closer but I just thought I'd get the ball rolling. Feel free to ask questions. I would encourage everyone to try to make it out. Most people that attend our shows usually have a blast.
