Police are investigating the city's third slaying in one week after a man bled to death on a Jasper Avenue sidewalk this morning.
"We got the call right around seven o'clock this morning," said police spokeswoman Karen Carlson. "There was some kind of an argument that began on the city bus."
As an argument between two men, who knew each other, escalated, the bus driver pushed the "panic" button and pulled to a stop at Jasper Avenue and 107th Street.
As far as I'm aware, the argument occurred between the two, and the physical argument was between the two. No one else was injured," Carlson said.
On exiting the bus, police believe one of the two men was stabbed.
The second man ran away.
He was tracked down by officers on the north side of Jasper Avenue at 104th Street.
The stabbed man was pronounced dead at the scene.
Officers taped off most of the north sidewalk between 106th and 107th Streets this morning.
The dead man's body remained on the sidewalk, a thin cream blanket covering him. Blood seeped through the blanket.
Several witnesses were questioned today.
The Journal is looking for anyone who may have witnessed this homicide. |

They were probably some homeless meth heads that got into an arguement about whose turn it is to take it up the pooper to pay for more meth.
It's not really random violence, these 2 guys knew eachother from what the article sounds like. |
