Hey guys, just wondering where you placed the amps to your speakers in your Z. Looking for the best/cleanest install areas for the amps.
Please post pics if you can.:) |

I had a t3002. It nice cause it covers thw wires with a removable plate. I put it in front of my box and bolted it to the trubk floor liner. It lookd clean and you have plenty of room for wire below. With my kicker I did basically the same hting, cept bought little plastic circle things for the wires cause I didint want the frayed plywood holes lol.
I'm making a box for my bud now. It has the subs, [0=0] with the amp in the middle. I'm making 2 faces. One for the subs to bolt into, and one slightly larger than the subs. I want to bolt that 2nd face onto the orignal with spacers so there's 3/4" or so room between. Then. The hope is that I can run the wires behind this 2nd face and that amp wont get rattled to shit! I dont like seeing wires lol. Also, I like seeing the amp! |

Several places over the years.
1) Under the passenger seat.
Pros:
-total stealth.
Cons:
-can heat up, not much airflow
-can't run a physically large amp.
* note* ran a Rockford 4 channel there in my old NA. Currently have a D class Memphis sub amp under the turbo passenger seat.
2) Parcel shelf (in a 2+0), like so:
Pros:
-easy to change settings
-looks hoopy cool, especially with neon:
Cons:
-installation is tricky
-'steal me'
3) In the hatch
Pros:
-good ventilation, many different installation options, mounted to a sub box, for example.
-not easily visible with cargo cover
Cons:
-t-top storage
-long RCA cables from Head Unit
4) In the trunk (convertible)
Pros:
-stealth
Cons:
-looooooong RCA cables from Head Unit
-not really an option for 98% of Z32s out there.
Depends on the size of the amp, but under the pass. seat is usually the best option.
