What's heel and toe
NOOOOO!, don't start that again!
Pretty sweet pics of the Scoobie. I like the drift shots.
I know a guy who has a 75 shot of NOS in his RS (blue with gold rims) and something gave on it recently... all of his coolant has mysteriously disappeared... I think blown head gasket...

But there are some good sites if you do not know exactly how to do it.

REFLUX
wat kind of "battle scars" does the RS have?
like chips & dents??

TurboBlueNX
I'm trying to shift away from EO.
That Blue SCoobie also has been hit, hard. In the front.
I'd feel sorry for the sucker who ends up with it...

reno
Nice autox pics. Too bad it wan't raining, you'd kill everyone!

schlong8
battle damage includes: chips on the front end and the sides (from drifting), scratches, scuffs.
Winter tire tread is nicely shredded, but still usable for a season i hope.
Steelies are black w/a nice speckle of silver.

HondaDude
Nice ride schlong8 ... me *drool* on your car

TurboBlueNX
Hey Schlong, when you gonna go turbo?

brandon
So what the dif between a powerslide and a drift?

GirlRacer P1
brandon: welcome to AN!
As for the difference, I would suggust you ask Schlong8, every time I try explaining, he always corrects me.

TurboBlueNX
I believe the difference is powerslide is the more proper way to take a turn. Less fishtailing, more focus on speed through the turn.
Drifting would be wild tail out, overcompensating, turning, which is very entertaining to watch I might add.
Then again, I could be blowing smoke out of my ass...

schlong8
Turbo is slightly correct.
Let's break it down. When going through a turn there are 3 stages - entering, mid-turn, and exit.
A power slide is when u enter a turn normally, taking a good line and hitting the apex. Ur tail-end will come out because u've applied a little too much power which has caused u to break traction on ur rear wheels mid-turn. U will counter-steer during the exit of the turn. So u are sideways exiting the turn.
The difference between a powerslide and a drift is the timing of when u are sideways. A drift is when u are sideways before entering a turn, and then hitting the apex sidedays. Ur car will then "drift" into the exit of the turn, so u can be relatively straight on the road after the turn. So basically the car should be pointing in the direction of exit, before hitting the apex of the turn.
This can be achieved by lift-off oversteer or penduluming the car.
Hope people understand this.

TurboBlueNX
Heheh, so I tend to oversimplify sometimes

REFLUX
isn't a powerslide only achievable on AWD cars?

TurboBlueNX
Nope.
And believe it or not, you can actually drift FWD cars too.
