In the Eifel Mountains of Germany, a Japanese beast is being wrung out on the famed N rburgring. Considered by many to be the Holy Grail of testing facilities, automakers such as GM have tested many of their cars on the storied track. Now Toyota joins the fray with its LF-A. Edmunds.com has video of the car on the track. Rumored to have a 5.0L V-10 cranking out 500hp when it hits the market, it's apparently aimed at the same entry-exotic segment as the Ferrari F430, the Ford GT and the Lamborghini Gallardo. A 200-mph supercar with Toyota reliability? Be afraid, Italy, be very afraid.
But for $100,000?, hm. |

I doubt they will be afraid. People don't buy those cars worried about reliability.
It will probably compete closely with Audi's R8 and from what I have seen so far I would definitely buy the R8 before the Lexus. |
