Hey everyone, unfortunatly we at Icex.ca are finding this a difficult market. Speaking to dealerships they firmly believe that auto trader is the only source out there for online advertising. There is another company in Edmonton(which I shall not name) which has invested over $1,000,000 in advertising and construction of their site and they are still advertising free to dealerships. We have invested $1000's of dollers into the construction and design of our site and countless hours maintaining and attracting business. We have hit a road block. Dealerships can't afford or are skeptical to invest in online advertising to market their cars. They have been ripped off in the past or have seen little or no return. It cost's $$$ to attract hits to your site. We have tried meta tag optmization, online banner advertising, news paper, community paper adversing and for the hits to convert to $ its simply not worth it. We would like to keep Icex free for the private users. You can advertise your cars for free even here and generate lots of exposure to sell your car.

I think it's wonderful that the site owners here still have our banner up. Thanks Mark! My Dj services are forever yours :)
Admin although we are not allowed to post in here please dont lock this thread. This is not a means to advertise our business, just a last desperate attempt for some ideas to keep us alive.

My question to all of you is what should we do with it now? We have considered selling it but so much blood and sweat and dreams have gone into this site we would hate to see it go. We feel its a great site with a few bugs yet to be worked out but it has such an excellent image appeal. We either need a miracle or its going to have to go.

Thanks for Listening and we all love and support 780tuners.ca

Have you ever thought of providing a service more like mautofied.com?

It caters to the custom vehicle crowd, it also allows custom vehicle owners to trade/swap vehicles.

Check out that site and see what you think, from what I understand they are doing very well, if the dealers arn't going to help you try another market, custom vehicles are often cast in the shadows of the trader.
