Fx Designs - Click HERE for Original Thread

grandam
so I am looking to get a kit on my 1995 pontiac grandam I know that these cars aren't that popular to fix up but I want something different from everyone else. So I have decided to go with Fx Designs from Edmonton I was wondering if I can get some feedback on these body kits if anyone knows if these kits fit good I will also be getting it painted and installed at Fx Designs.

Thank you:

silvermist
well the key question is do you drive your car year round because if you do , get a urathane kit because fx design only does fiberglass.

grandam
I wont be driving to car in the winter any more

Texmex
i got one from them and it fitted alright, and looked pretty good. but it was very fragile and crack it a few days( im not sure if i hit anything but i noticed a crack after the second day)

Well this is the thing I am looking to get a EG Hatch within the next year so I am still trying to decide on a bodykit for my grandam what do you think that I schould do. And the bodykit from fx designs is a vader style bodykit so it is a agresive kit.

Are you going to sell the Grand Am to get the EG?
If so, leave the Grand Am stock, they are worth more that way, as with any car.

RWD
fx designs is a little too extreme for my tastes..

Yeah I am looking to keep my Pontiac Grandam but my car is very subtle right now with swome mods done to it, it is hard having a car that isin't that much supported in the aftermarket world. I like my Grandam but I am going to get a EG in the next year. I will list the things that I have done to my Grandam.

They molded my mugen front bumper and it is strong as hell.. and believe me it has taken quite the beating. Im actually quite surprised it has held up thus far. When matching the paint. They could have been much better. Although i will give them a second shot in the near future.

the reason your mugen bumper lasted is because it ins't a fx design bumper. companies from japan tend to use more then 2 layers of fiberglass. If you make a kit that is 1/4 think it gets as heavy as a urathane bumper but is a lot stronger. If you looked at your bumper compared to fx designs bumpers you will see a differance.

It was an FX designs made bumper.

I got my kit (Bomex Kit) installed and painted there and then repainted a few years later. They matched paint really well for me - a judge at a car show even commented on how well it matched - and everything fit right.

Make sure you give them time to do it all, the second time I think they rushed it and it went back in for some fixing a while later - although he fixed everything for free.
