And someone tell the owner to DETAIL his car next time before putting it in a show. His hood had swirlmarks galore! :rolleyes:
And the black car next to it, with the CF hood, hadn't even been washed. When I was there (thurs evening) you could see where someone had run their finger along the driver-side fender. The layer of dirt/dust was anything but thin. :lol: |

So much hate on the skyline, i personaly didnt think it was to bad, i kinda liked it. the car needed to be lowerd but it looked nice to me anyways.

and mint shape? it has a huge HOLE in the rear quater panel, that you guys covered with a sticker, man, i'm supprised no one poked a hole in it.

ZR Auto came out and showed us hows its done.. again.

780tuners... thank god you have all the events planned so far in advance this year... should make for a good show and shine / race season!
Bob did a fantastic job setting up the show, this was the best one yet! I cant wait till next years show.... rumor is its going to be A LOT BIGGER!!
PS. Re the 780tuners both,,, if you guys have a problem with the cars being displayed or quality of the both, you are more than welcome to help out next year. 780tuners.com needs volunteers to come out the shows and rep the site.
I personally think that the 780tuners booth ended up attracting a lot of attention and a lot of new members.

Rims RACING HART S3 Pro By no means a 'cheap' rim Rolling on Pirrelli P Zeros (not a cheap tire!!) For some, that may not be good enough... but for us they are just fine!
I agree the detail job could have been done better, but we had 1 day to get prep, and drive to the show...

| p.s. jd auto could have at attempted to actually cut out the vented body kit pieces and covered with mesh. Really, what it looked like is someone bought a 1/26 copy of Bee*R R32.4 and just exploded it 26 times and made sure its 4x4 and AB friendly. So what it has r34 front, there is one at the east coast, have you seen the condition of that car? At least their body kit is cut out properly. Im not bashing just u guys, im bashing organizers, it was completely lame downstairs, could have been better but then on the other hand that show is intended to attract 40+ year old farts to see their new cars upstairs. From my point of view BMW cars were lame and not worth the money at all so as the Benz, interior is complete crap for 71k. That Rubicon was falling apart, horrible jeep and defenately not worth the money. Acura TL was worth every penny compared to some of the competitors and I dont like honda/acura. Otherwise nothing new, i want my 9bucks back :P |

i'm interested to see what they did to the NAIT cobalt AFTER they crashed it before the show.
the program head for NAIT automotives took the NAIT cobalt out 2 days before the show BEFORE he torqued the lugnuts... needless to say the wheel fell off and he spun the car and damaged the bodykit... i'm just curious to see how they fixed it...

yeah, it wasnt modded much, the rules they had to follow were pretty restrictive:
no suspension mods
no engine mods
no welding
and a few other things.
i was just curious to see how they pinstriped it after they repaired the damage after the "accident" :lol:
like honestly, who in their right mind crashes a show car before its first car show? lol
i do have closeup pics of the car before they had the "accident", but it was really dusty when i took the pics.
i really like some of the detail they did with the paint, like the little bio-hazard signs on the side skirts and the bare metal w/green candy clear graphic up the side... just a poor color choice...
and without lowering it looks like a lumber wagon, even with the 18's!! (i got the chrome 16's it came with for my civic :p ) |

huge wheel gap on that car, they DID have brand new GM aftermarket 16" rims for it... but the wheel gap was even worse.... so i snagged the 16's for myself :lol: it is an alberta car for sure!!!!
they had it downstairs? lame.... mind you thats where they had the aveo last year. |

Put the Nait Cobalt beside the Sait car and it starts looking a whole lot better. It looks as though Sait put a lot of their $5,000 for non-GM aftermarket into the airbrushing in the car( they had $7,500 for GM parts as well). The Nait car had a lot of slick "free" mods that really only cost the people time. Polishing valve covers, the bare metal paint trick, as well as a few others.
Sait actually made their car worse putting in some terrible-looking seat covers, painting stock plastic engine shrouds, an over the top body kit.
All in all I think Nait definitely deserves to win that contest. |

My car was in last year and I would never put it in a show again as it was a bad experience last year. I am sad that a company makes advan knockoffs that you paid way too much for in "matte black" finish, it might have looked better if you car was at least lowered.

well i cant really comment on the SAIT car as i have yet to see it, i think the NAIT car turned out very well considering the type of car, funds, rules and restrictions and the fact they got the car really late. I'm actually proud of what they accomplished. Not what i would do to a car personally and the color sure doesnt agree with me.. but well done none-the-less.

There was no rx-7 in the video! I dont think anyway, and the movie shows some street raceing then a car getting pulled over and getting towed to the impound and says this is what happens when you street race! The cops watched it and actually liked it they had a booth right across from the apex booth. |

I don’t understand all the controversy surrounding this car?? I have customers calling me to pipe up and say something. I didn’t think that it mattered, but I guess there are those out there that will do everything they can, even use blatant lies, to try to smear someone’s reputation, and I believe that I do have to set things straight.
Bottom line.
These rims where are actually for another car. We assumed that they would give the car a better look for the show.
We like them, so we use them on our cars.

For a street tire I believe these are the best you can get.
Yes there is a small hole in the rear fender. Some jealous a$$hole vandalized the car!! Since the decal hides the hole so well, I wonder how you know the hole is there?? The hole is being repaired before the vehicle’s sale.
The reason the car is stock is because we purchased the vehicle from BEE-R in Japan, and what we wanted was a stock vehicle. Stock vehicles tend to be driven better, and with more care. As well, we believe that modifications will wear an engine out sooner. So keeping the vehicle stock ensures a higher quality vehicle, and gives the buyer free rein to do whatever he wants with the car.
Regarding the vehicle being under a tarp and not running. – You must be mistaken, as we have owned this car since it landed in Canada. This car has been inspected on 2 occasions and is in perfect operating condition. We have never, NEVER, had problems with it. I invite any interested parties to come by our shop to see the vehicle running, and any serious buyer are more than welcome to take it for a test drive.
I would appreciate if the moderators would use their discretion in making sure that people are not using defamatory statements. I agree that people have their opinions but this thread has truly moved away from its point.
