FS: b20B engine swap - Click HERE for Original Thread

MR. BATES
up for sale is a obd1 b20b engine+ LS tranny which is in great shape.

engine is complete, does not burn oil and runs, idles perfect.
Engine is still in car and i will welcome people to come test drive it if you like. I was told this motor had around 90k on it. I myself have put about 1k on it.

900 OBO

junior
is this the high compression (newer) b20b w/ ~140hp?

also, what comes with the swap? is it a complete changeover?

is the tranny hydro?

thanks

drastik
It's the b20b, you're thinking b20z. The only realy difference is the ECU and the IM, neither of which you should be using for the changover.

As for as I know, it's a hydro tranny. I believe it's in his teg. :)

junior
97-98 b20b = 9.0:1 comp = 126hp, 122lbs.ft

99-01 b20b = 9.6:1 comp = 146hp, 133lbs.ft

which one is it?

would you sell the swap without the tranny?

thanks

Actually the second gen of the motor is the b20z, as I mentioned, and it has a different IM and different ECU. Both of which you will want to change. or he has changed for the swap anyway.

yep will work just fine. will either have to convert to obd1 or convert the engine to obd0.
