Respectable Stealth Repair/Performance Shop - Click HERE for Original Thread

blackbullit
Hi everyone,

I am looking for a respectable repair shop to have some work done on my 93 Dodge Stealth R/t Twin Turbo. I want to do some performace mods along with basic repairs and maintenance. Can anyone recommend a place to bring my car in the greater Edmonton area? I would appreciate any referalls.

Thanks

Do you have a garage? Very best thing would be to do the work yourself with some help from someone on Canada3si. BTW much cheaper to get your parts at Mitsu.....and use OEM!

You could try Subracing.

I will try to help, but I can't promise and it would have to be scheduled several weeks in advance.(in Fort Smack)

What do you have planned?

what kind of work are you looking at getting done? Subracing can likely do it. the licensed mechanic (mark) is extremely knoledgeable and has a strong background with dodges and DSM's. 628-4438.

Thanks for the info guys. I am looking to eventually have the engine and tranny done. The car only has 105,000 km on it now, but I want to keep this car for a long time. I previously owned a 93 Eagle Talon TSi which was much easier to to a lot of the work needed myself, but this Stealth is a Pandoras Box under the hood, so I want someone with experience to do the work for me. I sure appreciate the quick response to my request and if there is any other shops or tips you guys can give me, it would sure appreciate them.

Thanks again

not to sure about the dodge stealth repair shops. but when why mx6 turbo had problems i took it to Sandy Lane Auto on Argyll. they deal mainly with volvos' but have a lot of knowledge about turbo equiped cars.. i would recommend them.

my moms cousin owns sandy lane. thats where i always go. go talk to kerry. he should be able to help you out.

Zippy's suposedly specializes in DSM's, and stealth's. THey had a Green twin turbo in there, but I would not recomend them due to some bad experience's on my own part, and others stories.

Supposedly, kinda, usedto specialize in DSMs  Steer clear of them if you like your car working properly. Them being DSM specialists was just a theory pushed by Blaine the ex-co-owner of ProDrag to drum up business. They suck.

Thanks for the positive referals and also for the shops to watch out for. I have already had my share of bad experiences, most of them with Satan the Dealer, but any advise and referals are greatly appreciated from you guys!!

Whoa there cowboy,
Care to back that up with some facts?
I think you might still be bitter about your failed inspection.
Edit: I should mention that I was referred to Zippy's by well standing members of nacdsm.org. Some of who are active from time to time on this board.

No point opening up that argument again, the car has been sold, the stolen and stripped so it is long gone. But 3/4 of the reasons Andrew failed the car were complete made up bull shit.

Sorry guys. I did not mean to start anything, I was just inquiring about a good repair shop, which I am still interesting in finding.

You should ask this on canada3si there are quite a few guys that are local that have a very extencive knowledge when it comes to the cars especially with tranny and enginework. Most will tell you to work on it yourself and get help from guys off there but they will be able to tell you some of the better shops around the city. Personally I have done all the work on mine so far and alot of work on my friends.

Facts? There's nothing that can't be shot down just as easily as I bring it up. Failing new parts/work, clearly withoout looking at them, the car not working properly when I got it back. And the fact that it passed 2 inspections after my ownership ended and lasted 2 years without any major work required in the hands of 2 amateur DSM owners, until it got stripped could go to show how spot on his inspection of the car was.

With what the others said. Do yourself a big favor and DO NOT GO TO ZIPPY's.

You will just come out with empty pockets and half ass worked at the best.

Try giving Project Omega Speedworks a try. Rob is knowledgeable on turbo'ed cars, and has worked on a few DSMs.

If your still lookng... Look up SUBRACING they just finished a stealth and they've got my buddies GTO now
