FYI the selec-trac is not very "desirable" its the cheapest option for the jeeps. the quadra-trac is the better transfer case. |

However, what you say about the selec trac is not true.
First off, there are 3 transfer cases for grand cherokees.
1. the 231 (Command trac.. part time 4 wheel only.)
2. The 242 (Selec-trac.. Full time 4whd, and part time)
3. The 249 (Quada-trac, Full time 4 wheel drive)
While the 249 is the most expensive, there are many problems with it, and if you look on any jeep forums, a large number of people with the 249 swap it for the 242. |

UPDATE
I recently started having a problem, when I go over a bump, the front right wheel starts to shake, and you must slow down, and the shaking stops.
Mechanic says it needs a new track bar. About 400 with labour.
Do to this, I am selling for the new price of
2000 WITHOUT DECK!
2300 WITH DECK!
This is truly a great deal, I need to get rid of this jeep, as I need the money for a down payment on my next car.
Will be auctioned on JUNE 9th if not sold by then. |
