KLZE engine Install - Click HERE for Original Thread

matthatter
Can anyone recommend any good places to get my KLZE installed into my probe? I dont really want any hassles just a good reliable install without getting ripped off.

omniman69
subracing, once they get to their new location.

+1. make sure u get a true klze

matthatter
How can you tell if its not a true KLZE?

Talon_66
take off the valve covers.
Look at the cams. They'll be stamped KL36 or KL31.

Fazda
yup a lot of times they will just put intake manifold from a klze on a klde which only give u about 15hp. so definetly watch for that..

I'd recommend abbey road auto, mazda specialists.

Fazda
ya definetly go to a mazda specialist for sure.. good luck on the swap

Thanks guys. I was looking at Sumaru's Auto in Etown. Anyone herd of that place?

Do a search. I think I have seen many negative reviews.

Honestly this swap can be done with 2 amateurs in around 12 hours. Its a simple swap

Fazda
that swap is pretty straight forward i dont think u will have any problems with it.. other than a couple 02 sensors that are different. i think the egr might be different to i cant remeber. once upon a time i was gonna do a klze swap, body kit the whole works but then i realized my car had to much rust...:(

as talon stated it is a direct swap. take lots of pictures and u could do it yourself in a weekend with a buddy!

If I recall the KLZE doesnt have EGR.

Fazda
i thought it did but it had to be repositioned.. acutally no u are right thats why people in the states have a hard time getting them to passs smog tests, cuz it doesn't have one.. and then they have to put one on.. good call

zummad

I would trust death by 240 over most people when it comes to shop selection.

Talon_66
I did a search on that shop. Very little positive feedback. Tonnes of negative feedback

If you have time I suggest diong it yourself. Its not that hard of a swap. I helped a freind with his last year. Were now taking it back out but none the less its is a good learning experience.
