I know where you can buy a foxxconn(sp) board new, comparible to the a7v8x.... cept SIS chipset... for like $59ish (I think)
I'm pretty sure I have a a7n8x-x, but it's in use... with a Barton core 2500+ :P |

LOL... hmm too bad you didn't post before Christmas... I had a a7v600... If I can find something else to give my mom I could still go grab it.. has an issue with SATA drives though... |

it has a problem with SATA drives because you need to tell windows during installation that there are SATA drives present.... |

yup it's blond...
But I do computers 20 hours a day for a living, I think I know that.... it's flaky, sometimes the sata drive will drop out, PATA is perfectly fine. |

Yeah, I don't want a board with SATA necessarily, but if the board has the feature - it should work! Who knows when something else will fail?
