is a 2.2 litre turbo f2t motor a good investment for a 1989 mazda mx6??

Fazda
fuck ya it is! they are very soild motors. i imagine u just had the stock f2 in a lx. chip and boost them to 15 psi and u have a solid 200whp and 240wtq. with no traction but fun as hell. i just sold my mx6gt for 400$ but needed a timing belt or a head gasket.

89mazdamx6
k awesome...cuz i picked one up for 800 buks

Fazda
decent buddy. i loved my mx6gt it was soo torqey!!! but than i blew it up twice lol. and then i baught an 89 probe gt with the same motor and i loved it just as much.. fun to drive.. but not im balling with two turbos! lol definetly a good buy

89mazdamx6
so i can get a chip that will boost the stock turbo up to 15 psi??

Fazda
ya dude! its sick. go to www.performanceprobe.com and its called the probinator chip. get a boost controller for like 50$ the chip is about 60$ so for about 110$ u get about 50 and 50 tq. its such a big difference! i can help u hook it up if u want

89mazdamx6
man for sure....i kinow nuthin bout that kinda stuff...i also have to pull out my old motor and put in the f2t.....but the guy im buying it from is gunna lend me a hand

and would the stock lx tranny be able to withstand the power?

Fazda
i dont know if the stock lx tranny is a direct bolt on. i have 5 speed but it needs some work

GT34
It'll fry the lx tranny

Fazda
kinda what i figured. the ford auto trannies are bad enough. i would definetly track down a gt tranny

89mazdamx6
