Thank you, sir

She'll be a little different this year as I've got some new wheels, new headlights and a few other little things to freshen it up for the new season.

kornsined
what are you putting down for numbers with the turbo?

VRado6
Not sure as I haven't had it dynoed yet. I'm still running the factory turbo so it won't be anything crazy, but everything around the turbo has been upgraded in anticipation of running something bigger. If I were to wager a guess based on other people with similar set-ups to mine, I'd say about 215whp and about 265wtq give or take a little bit.

thx i'll deffinattly check out that site

VRado6
I actually sold those wheels already to a guy in NY with an R32. No one local wanted to buy them :(

The GLI VR6 is a hell of a nice car, and you can't beat the sound of a VR6 winth intake and exhaust! I hope to see you out at the meets this summer.

vr6T
I have an MKIV GTI, and Rabbit.

stevenj
I dont own a VeeDub but for work study im working at norden... 12:30 - 3 weekdays... i like working on VW's, better then some cars... hopefully when i start my apprenticeship ill be able to afford a new Dub but till then i have to drive a pos ford...:(

Invalid Zero
You like working on German cars???

I find that they are built like they are never going to be taken apart. Unlike some Japanese cars that can be torn apart with 5 sockets and a screwdriver.:D Doing struts on a 2001 Jetta.... just crazy how complicated they could make a simple job.

Yeah they are built like a brick shit house. Try running 0 gauge power wire through the firewall in a jetta not so much fun.

I love how you say and rabbit, like its nothing special

dweeb
One of you Blue Jetta owners Likes too Try and Beat on civic's all the time... and Nearly rear ended me twice...

Just thought I'd let you know about that.. I don't wanna see you do that again.. Speeding up on my ass about 1 foot away.. Not cool.

None the less.. it's a VERY Nice car.. I wouldn't want to see it smashed with your risky driving.. Someone else.. might not like you so close to them.;)

Wasn't me. I try my best to drive like a civilized person but sometimes the boost gets the best of me :)

Theres 2 or 3 other blue GLI's like mine in the city so maybe it was one of them. I think mine is the only blue one with a big front mount IC though

did you have much trouble with turboing your VR ?

i was really considering EIP's turbo system. but i was kind of conserned about it being a daily driver .

vr6T
Building a turbo kit was much easier then putting a vr6 in the car, and putting all wheel drive.

ya that sounds like fun, that little car must dominate.

what kind of times do u run on the 1/4 mile?

vr6T
in 2006 it did 11.02 with a best of 133mph. huge changes for 2007, will have to see how it works out.

24vGLi
thats awesome is it a homemade turbo kit or did u buy a brand name kit? have u had it dynoed?

vr6T
It's a home made kit. It dyno'd 545whp @ 17psi in 2006. I'm making a few changes for 2007.
