I think they wanted to give Schremp a taste of the big leagues in order to motivate him to work hard over the summer on his skating and his conditioning. No NHL time at all for him this season when the rest of his AHL teammates had been called up was probably discouraging for him.
As a long time Oil fan, I am hoping they continue to lose on Saturday against the Flames so they can finish fourth worst in the league. Then they can move up to #1 in the draft lottery, get a really good player with that pick, then get Angelo Esposito with the Islander's pick they got in the Smyth deal, and then sign Smyth back after the season. The other 1st rounder they have from the Ducks means they will have 3 first rounders to either draft or package in a trade to get some decent players.
It's all part of the master plan to win it all in 2009...:blue: |

Funny you should say that, yesterday morning at Rona they had a shit load off the car window flags and they were giving them away, as many of them as you wanted. I stuck one in my yard and lit it a blaze for my roomate to see. :lol: |
